Had mine around six weeks, the reviews are correct the foam is good, the switch is a pain. On mine the meshes occasionally fall out, not good, version 2 imo should change the switch & improve the mesh fitment. Overall slightly over priced for the quality of the product, but works.

The price will be 39€, 39$ and 39£ when it's available in stores. That should be second part of March (fingers crossed!). Having batteries is an easy way you make it water-proof for cleaning since there's no outside connector, and you can choose more or less powerful batteries to influence the speed it spins at. The non-latching switch is indeed a thing, it does gets easier to push after using it for a little while when the rubber softens. Great review by the way!

This thing is great, I've been using mine for a few weeks now. Love it. I've been making latte with 2% and it's velvety.. can't wait to buy a little shoe milk.

I checked the price here in Canada, the jug is more costly than the foaming wand itself. I can justify paying CAD50 for a good foaming wand, but CAD63 for the jug? I don't think so.

Unfortunately screen holder broke only after 3 months of use. But contacted manufacturer got a reply almost immediately and will get my replacement in 2 days! Customer Service is tops for sure!

I can't agree more on the button. I understand that maybe having a switch might cause an accidental move which creates more bubbles when you turn it off. But it won't hurt having the button easier to press. Gave me muscle cramps. But overall, this is a great product that produces great results.

@@breadman5048 yes. Just like most users and most youtubers do. Heard that not all units have the same sensitivity pressing it. I bought a second one and that one was easier to press, but still hard. Some recommend using guitar capos to lock onto it.

you should do a review on Flair neo (with the bottomless Porter filter), cafflano krinder, and the nano foamer all in one video to make a late, using those 3 devices, they are all kickstarter devices that are much lower Priced then the competition so it would be interesting to see how good of an espresso drink you can make for the money vs other machines.

If they use rechargeable battery via USB 5V it would be great! I like the idea using mini impeller to push milk through mesh screen. Nice video as always, Ales!

The creator said that they didn’t want to include any batteries because international shipping would have been expensive because few services (mostly express) are ok with batteries

You can use rechargeable AA batteries. If the wand lasts, replaceable rechargeable AA batteries are better than built-in Lithium battery as all rechargeable batteries eventually die. Better to replace the rechargeable AA batteries than to have to replace the whole wand.

Integrated battery would be worse, IMO. If you notice it starts being more slow, you can put those batteries on to charge and use fully charged batteries right away

No, crappy Ni-MH batteries are just not worth it, only the expensive chargers are good (not ruining your batteries). Li-ion is a fire hazard, so even the cheapest or greediest manufacturers never dare to make it badly. Not to mention the fact that Ni-MH is just so so so inferior to Li-on.

It is so nice to be able to "hot swap" batteries that you know are already charged. Not to mention that if the battery was integrated, any problems with it over a long period of time is another point of failure for a nanofoamer to end up in the trash or needing repair

But you didnt review the most famous ones, the nespresso aeroccino 3,4 , the lavazza a modo mio, and the classic steamer . So comparison of those plus the other frothers

cappuccino aficionado's will tell you: frothing milk with steam causes the milk to slightly caramelise, as the steam is very hot (even above 100C). This gives a very slight roasted and sweetened taste to the milk. Milk frothed with foamers, always tastes a bit bland, they'll tell you. Please do a side by side comparison and see if you taste a difference.

I don't see how adding a plastic surround and screen make this frother better than my two-speed all stainless steel Zenpro. It's not the gadget that matters but the person using it.

Fat globules are both solid and liquid at low temp and will impair foamability en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microfoam#Effect_of_temperature

I'm not totally sure but I think I remember reading that it was due to regulations on transporting devices that contain lithium ion batteries.

Simple: money Additional battery + simple battery controller + usb-c socket will add about 15$ to the price, so it will compete with automatic frothers and no one will buy this

There are literally millions of cheap chinese items that contain internal batteries and there is absolutely no problem with cheap shipment. Rechargeable AA batteries have a much lower amount of charge and require an external charger that is inconvenient and greatly adds to the cost. A decent quality internal battery will outlast the life of the mechanical gears (no doubt all made of plastic) so it will not shorten the life of the product, and it's replaceable with a little skill in case one really wants. Another thing to consider is that lithium batteries have a much flatter discharge curve: the frother will work almost with no slow down until the battery is dead; regular AA batteries will gradually slow down altering the quality of the product according to the level of charge.

Hey, bro- I see your hand trembling as you attempt to maintain adequate pressure on the switch. That switch is a total disaster, to the extent mine is useless. Be forewarned everyone. I have complained to Subliminal and they wanted a video. WTF!
