@@1chim0kuren16 Yuuki Yuuna has its own dark fantasy vibe but it was more brighter with its happy ending where things turned out fine in the end except for one story arc.
Yeah...Wonder Egg Priority and Magical Girl Site, even Magical Girl Raising Project...are just...waayy too much, they're just full on torture porn now...the point even of Puella Magi Madoka is that there was hope, there was still *hope* at the end. That even though their fight was a grim one, the show, the movies (and the games) still made a point to hold on to that little shimmer of hope...thats what all these are missing is the true aspect of what the Magical girl was...fighting for your friends, the love for yourself and others, and a wee bit of *fuckin hope*...they just saw the gritty "this is what would actually happen in the real world with real Magical girls, deal with it, this is the reality of our world." And missed the whole past five decades of the Magical girl and what they were built on...this and the satire Magical girl series of single seasons, that are on factory pump-out are getting exhausting...but considering the audience for magical girl series over there in Japan now is mostly adult men nowadays soo...we're probably not going to get any series that harken back to things like the 2000's or before that any time soon
I would like to point out that of the 3 seals that Yuuno, Zaphira, and Arf set up; Yuuno's was the one that actually held until finally broken not by the boss, but by Fate.
NachtWal likely did not find it threatening enough to bother breaking. Caging Circle is used to trap it but still gives it a very wide degree of room to maneuver. Arf's Chain Bind restricted its limbs completely and Zafira's Steel Yoke was both an attack and a means to further pin it down. NachtWal could not move or turn in any way unless it removed them. Since it could use shooting magic as long as it knew where to aim, there was no point in ridding itself of Caging Circle. It's another question entirely, though, whether it *did* have the ability get rid of Caging Circle or if it just didn't because it didn't think it needed to.
It didn't hold so much as Natch created a bunch of tentacles and the 4 shields while it stood in place using long ray beam attacks to try swatting all the mages and their familiars while being constantly forced back by attacks so never got the chance to even try to break it. If you pay attention you see that it creates a bunch of ray shooting tentacles and never tries moving while the tentacles are up and shooting beams.
@@simpmonohiro Caging Circle actually only disallowed it to fly as stated by source materials. With Nahtwal being just a rampaging mass of magical energy it probably didn't even think about breaking it and instead focused at eliminating direct threat. Try to remember that it was Reinforce role to be a brain of the Tome/Book.
@@BergmitetheBlueandPointy0712 It wasn't really a fair battle, it was actually tipped in NachtWal's favor if not for the Arc-en-ciel. NachtWal's regenerative abilities would have caused it to almost instantly restore itself after even all that pressure they put on it. Moreover, NachtWal was going to continue growing and devouring everything in sight if they didn't pull out all the stops, so it was either it or them.
To be fair, Zafira actually punched the shield and his magic pierced through multiple layers and reached all the way to the face. But yeah, Zafira being Zafira, basically.
@@KudaGeatsune3821 Personally, I'd argue that the Death Star super laser fx would be a pretty damn good one. But in scenes like this one? Silence is just way better.
Fun fact: Durandal (Chrono's device) in this movie shared same English voice actor with Zero from Rockman X4, Wayne Doster, the guy who made the infamous "Hu Ha Hu!" and "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOooOoOoOooOOOOoOOoOoooooOoRRRRR!!!" in the English dub of the game lol.
The true form is a creature with wings! No, it's a creature with wings inside a ring! That's behind a woman with arms outstretched! On a head with snail eyes! That turns out to be the crest of the real head with a large set of teeth. ...I was betrayed so many times.
Emily Evelin No, it's highly advanced, adaptive, corrupted defense program. It likely creates new forms on the fly to suit its needs. Or it just has a shit ton of forms. Final form also implies an ultimate form, this doesn't seem to have an ultimate form, more of a this form is better for this situation.
If the Arc'en'ciel can deal with it you'ed think some of the more unscrupulous in the TSAB would have tried to destroy it even on an inhabited planet. But apparently the TSAB is so good even it's unscrupulous side won't go that far.
Jack Evans mostly because strikers shows the unscrupulous side of the TSAB in jail scaglietti and the fact that it's by preserved brains ala psycho pass oh and spoilers
It had been blasted by Arc'en'ciel somewhere around 10 years ago. All it contributed to was the death of an Admiral, destruction of the spaceship and Book popping up at another world. Simply blasting it up with an Arc'en'ciel will only kick in a Book's auto-regeneration system. Destroying it here was only possible because: 1. Nacht was separated from the Book 2. Master Program sacrificed itself later to stop herself from regenerating of the Defense Program. Without it, this battle would only delay events by few years at best, a few weeks at worst. The more unscrupulous members of TSAB already knew they cannot do a thing to a Book of Darkness. Destruction would only be a delay and capturing it failed last time. If not for Hayate waking up, their only option would be: a) Going with a Admiral Graham plan and sacrificing Master of the Book. Not only is it an illegal action, but it also amount to nothing as it's a temporary solution. Additionally, we cannot be sure if this method would even work on the Book. b) Blasting it up along with good chunk of the planet surface. Another temporary solution - it would just pop out somewhere else. c) Letting it destroy the Earth along with itself and hunt it once again. The worst of three. And no, they couldn't teleport it somewhere else. Transporting it to the orbit already took a firepower of the group of the most powerful mages and three dedicated support mages focusing only on transportation of its linker core. Not to mention how big it become in matter of a few seconds - Arthra looks actualy small next to it.
And later you see that they still work with magic, doing shit like Buster 3 starlight breaker powerfull nuff to go through whole ancient spaceship filled with top tier anti magic barriers like butter when they grow up
Considering that it failed to destroy their target, it obviously was underkill. They had to call in the naval artillery, which puts even the SS- rank Hayate to shame. Well, adult-Hayate is SS- rank in StrikerS, I think she might only be S+ at that age. Nanoha and Fate are only AAA in the anime version, though they reach S+ rank as adults. Sigrun and Vita are S-.
BassGSothertype I much prefer episode 12. This battle was missing all of the emotion from episode 12, as well as 12's superior pacing and feeling of progress in actually having an impact on Nacht.
GeorgeMonet I agree. The animation for this is great, but for some reason I just like the original fight more. I don't know if it's because of Brave Phoenix or because of the Defense Program's sorrowful cries, but the old version was a lot more emotional. It felt like there was a lot more weight involved. The new one just feels like a generic boss fight - everything goes fast, bam bam bam and done. Episode 12's boss fight was directed better.
While the animation is certainly over the top I prefer the Nanoha A's version of how this battle went down as well as the song played in said battle. I also prefer the Nanoha As version of the character designs especially with Nanoha and Fate.
The following Arc en Ciel Take is so bad, the TV Series showed the whole charging up and firing procedure, which looked awesome - for the Movie Version I would have wished they showed it in more Detail - not just this puny dot of light going into the Formation and blasting it apart from the inside.
i downloaded this A's season. and totally different. some scene change a little bit and i like this kind of version more than i doenloaded. more epic. can anyone tell me why not the same and i want to find this version. tq
is No way all might can fight this thing on his Prime alone, if he do it, the battle will never end for him and many people will lose their live and not even Goku can fight alone wont the help of a mage to set this thing in space and be destroy by the same space ship and the same cannon, sure Goku and all the Z fighter will be very good support but can't destroy the core of the Book of darkness, and No Beurus will not care of it and will not give a support then all. sure he can do it but he will not care! and dont give the shit like Goku grap the core and chruch it on his hands, this the best idea to become the new host of this core and i dont think is will be smart to do it,
I do... It's just Brave Phoenix has a better epic feel too it. If only they recreated Brave Phoenix like they did with Snow Rain. But this song's nice too since Nana Mizuki sang it, since she's one of my favorite singers >w
Poor Chrono looked like he almost died casting eternal coffin. That may be all he did, but that was itself a huge help and incredibly dangerous for him.
