Thanks for reacting to this and for the shoutout (and it's a "she" btw 😃), I always enjoy watching your reactions. This was the first Nanowar song I heard and I was in tears, too funny. You figured out most of what's going on in this song. Basically this is a parody to so-called viking metal (and bands like Hammerfall and Gloryhammer) and Sweden in general (going from mighty Vikings to Ikea). Really funny, but also a great song
Haha from mighty vikings to epic furniture! No matter the subject, Swedes go all out! Thanks for requesting that song xD and thanks for sticking around 🇸🇪❤️🇺🇸
If you didn't know, Odin was the Norse Santa. He would go on his Great Hunt, riding his white, 8 legged horse, then he would visit the homes and leave gifts. We also have the Yule goat ^^ Btw, Odin is the originsl Santa, timewise.
This was fun, amazing song. For your xmas, swedish band Majestica with their metal xmas album a Christmas carol based upon Charles Dickens book by the same name. Its so good i play it all year along 😀 Ghost of Marley are a great start. The vocalist Tommy Johansson also got a long list of xmas songs. He did a whole calendar last desember with a new video every day. O Helga natt (o holy night) are beautiful. So there are a lot to dive into for you 😀🇸🇪
Ooouuu I love me some Johansson, throw in some Christmas songs? I'm pretty sure my knees are about to buckle 😭 😂 thank you for the suggestions + all the ones before as well! 🤘😎🇸🇪🇺🇸
Nanowar of Steel are coming on a tour to the US, together with Tragedy, in a few weeks. They call the tour "Toyboys from Hell" (referring to "Cowboys from Hell" by Pantera). Have fun, man! Keep up the great work! BTW if you would like to see something "hallowenish" by NoS you can watch their video "And then I noticed that she was a Gargoyle". :D
Hello🤘❤️🔥🤘 I am a new subscriber that came in with Dimash. Metal is my second love and NanowaR of Steel is one of my favorites. In Canada, alcohol is also goverment run but this is loosening up. The Ikea bible/ catalogue connection with the Viking ship on the front refers to the fact that those ships were put together with wooden pegs like Ikea furniture. The pegs were knocked out so the longboats could be carried in pieces over long portages then reassembled. The guitar players in the Church scene wearing the yellow Ikea uniforms were meant to represent the Blues Brothers hiding in a church like in the movie. Trading Places movie on the TV in the background at the end is played every Christmas in Italy as the quintessential Christmas move.. First time I have seen someone look things up during a reaction. Very good idea. Odin is played by Angus McFife. Thank you, very enjoyabe. Off to check out others.👍 🥰🥰Big hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
The guitarist sressed up like the swedish childs book figure Pippi Longstocking, with long braids. Nanowar used to assembly a IKEA furniture on stage when this song was released or sometimes visit an IKEA store on tour.
I think you would enjoy Gloryhammer. Angus played Odin in this song (green suit) I recommend the songs "hootsforce" and "gloryhammer" (self-titled song)
My only gripe about this song is the line about Swedish Vikings not knowing where Axerbaijan was. Considering they ventured all the way to Persia, I'm pretty sure they knew about Azerbaijan. Other than that I love this song.
@@Clouded_Reactions I have the viking gen when it comes to handling alcohol but I almost never drink and if I do it is just a little taste of rum or other, never been drunk. Systembolaget is about quality not just quantity. Great selection of non-alcohol and different alcohol. Skål😊
Odin was the original Santa, then the christians changed yuletide into a baby jesus festival, then Coca-Cola changed it into a red and white commercial spree and now Nanowar changed it back to Odins modern pagan party :-)
