You sweet summer children. What I do when in IKEA is greet every employee but instead of your usual "G'day" I just tell 'em "Valhalleluja". Still waiting to meet an IKEA employee that could get the clue, though ...
Nanowar of Steel are awesome musicians and hilarious. I second "And Then I Noticed She was a Gargoyle" and "Barbie MILF Princess of the Twilight". Thomas Winkler (AKA AngusMcSix (formerly McFife)) has an amazing voice. One of my favourite bands is Feuerschwanz and they did a cover of Warriors of the World United with him and people from some of my other favourite bands. It's well worth checking out. Thanks for the reaction!
The Nicaragua and Azerbaijan bit is a reference to some of the goofiest Viking "theories" circulating on the Internet, like that it was the Vikings who built the Mayan pyramids in Central America or that Vikings were a Turkic people that originated in around modern Azerbaijan. The places that the choir sings Valhalleluja to are places where Vikings actually went to.
Can't go wrong with Nanowar of Steel! Thomas Winkler, at that time aka Angus McFife, is no longer with Gloryhammer (complicated story but not as tragic as the Nightwish/ Tarja Turunen situation) has now his own band Angus McSix which is also his new stage name (song recommendation Gloryhammer: Hootsforce, Angus McSix: Master of the Universe). He did a whole bunch of guest appearances like this one, most worth mentioning probably the cover of Manowar's Warriors of the World United by German medieval metal band Feuerschwanz feat. (besides Thomas) Saltatio Mortis (represented by vocalist Alea der Bescheidene [Alea the Humble]) & Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum). Talking Feuerschwanz, they also have a holiday season song, titled Krampus. Krampus is a character from the Alpine folklore and was the theme in some horror movies a few years ago.
I don't know in your country, but in Italy Trading Places (Una poltrona per due) is THE Christmas movie for a long long time, it's like a tradition. I can't wait to see it again the night of the 24th with my parents, like we usually do every fucking year
In between, you had me a little worried. Death by Nanowar should not ever become a youtube category! Awesome reaction. Do La Polenta Taragnarok, if you dare.
Had a feeling you'd wet yourself watching this one 😆👍it's just the best 👌 one to check out from them is "Pasadena 1994" ft Jockem from sabaton it's quality 👌 have a fantastic one my friend stay safe take care all the very best from Scotland to you 👍👊get well soon 👊
I had the same reaction you did when I first saw this! 😂 it has been a yearly tradition at my house ever since even though my wife gets tired of hearing it daily in December! 🤣 And the band did an interview while back and said they kept showing up at IKEAs and performing unannounced until they were told to stop. Great reaction bro keep up the good work!
Ah lads this is deadly be great having this on ur phone walking through IKEA and as for horse meatballs we had an issue with horse meat here in 2013 in tesco lasagne meat I think it was so for the craic two lads dressed up as a horse went into a tesco shop in Dublin and tried to get into the freezer just type in horse meat in Irelsnd 2013
These guys are hilarious! The number of Easter eggs, innuendos, and references to other songs in their music is truly staggering!🤣 That dance and Valhallelujah chorus near the end was straight out of the old 'Blues Brothers' movie. Amazing stuff and funny as hell! You should check out Norwegian Reggaeton, if you haven't already!🤣👍👍
I remember recommending this song to a few of my Christian friends and they were not amused. ☹️ I believe it was suggested that this was a "sick example of Pagan humour"🙄😂🤣😅😂🤣🤣 I love this song. I heard rumours that the band hid merchandise in an Ikea store that got flooded by people. Ikea was pissed because they did not clear it with the store first. Not sure if true but I do know that they make Ikea tables during concerts.😂 Nanowar of Steel were in Montreal only a few weeks ago and a friend told me it was fantastic but way too short. I'm told they were touring with others and only producing a half hour teaser performance. Sure wish I could have gone.☹️ Great reaction but must admit I was worried for you a few times. Looked like you were running out of oxygen.🤔 I sure hope you will be feeling better soon. Take care and thank you for taking our recommendation for this iconic song.❤️🌹👍 🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
Good job at spotting the Trading Places film on the background. In Italy that film is broadcasted on TV every single christmas since 1997 (or something like that).
Most people don't notice the movie. It's a perfect easter egg for this song. All of their songs are a blast. I know you've watched a few, but be sure to get to their classics, Barbie, MILF Princess of the Twilight, and And Then I noticed She was a Gargoyle. For something newer, don't forget Disco Metal.
Fun fact: the FALEGNAMEN that the choir sing in the end after the GLORIA is the union of "falegname" (italian word for carpenter) and "amen" so FALEGN-AMEN 😂😂
This was badass! The whole concept was awesome! Great video, The viking theme and Ikea combined made my old swedish heart so proud! Great reaction as always! Love from sweden! 💙💛💙
Yes, actually I started to listen to them because of their songs are so different that I literally unplug myself and live in the flow. Totally crazy band. Every time I see a reaction I smile and laugh too. 😂😂😂
for non italian speaking. "Falegn - amen" joke. Falegname is the italian word for carpenter , and they changed an hebrew prayer from "shema israel, Adonai elohenu , Adonai ehad" meaning more or less "listen israel, god is one , god is great" to "shema yggdrasill , Odinai elohenu , Odinai ehad" . "listen Yggdrasill (cosmic tree) Odin is one , Odin is great " , and Gloria is not a woman is the word for Glory
I have been watching some of your videos and generally checking out your Channel and have sensed a serious lack of Powerwolf, they are a german powermetal band, their themes center around vampires, Werewolves and the Catholic Church. I would recommend "Demons are a girls best friend", "Resurrection by Erection" or "Sanctified by Dynamite". For something completely different (to quote Monty Python) you should try Van Canto a germen metal Acapella band i would recomend either "Primo Victoria" (Sabaton cover Feat Joakim) or Rebellion (also a cover featuring the original lead singer). Oh and for another great song featuring Angus McFife (now Angus McSix) you should try Feuerswanz - Warriors of the World (Manowar cover). If you wan't to hear one of the most epic guitar solos ever recorded you should try Orden Ogan - Gunman.
A few things to point out here, systembolaget is a state-owned store here in Sweden and the only one that is allowed to sell alcoholic drinks. Both Amon Amarth (melodic death metal with a heavy inspiration from the Viking era) and Hammerfall (heavy/power metal) are Swedish metal bands.
They just finished up their first North American tour and i got to see them live. They are fantastic! Absolutely hilarious and they sounded great. They played this song while Potowotominimak built an Ikea table and then sent it out into the crowd.
In the last few concerts they did, during the last part of the song they actually started assembling an ikea table on stage and then threw it in the crowd for them to make it crowdsurf. Sometimes they do it with more tables at once and there'd be tables crowdsurfing all over the place. Crazy stupid visual.
produ to be Italian and from Rome like Nanowar^^ did u know that they have made a tour in the ikea (without telling it to IKEA XD) biulding stuffs on the stage XD?
Dude. Nanowarofsteel AND Upper Respiratory disease are CONTRAINDICATED ! Slap a PulseOx on that poor guy and I guarantee he's running in the low 80s... can't catch a breath.
