I think why people refer to them as 90s Supermodels is because there are supermodels that predate them. You had Iman, Jery Hall, Twiggy, Lauren Hutton etc and they predate the 90s.
+Timothy exactly. Anyone who truly knows fashion history would know there have been supermodels prior to Linda, Naomi and that group of girls. Which is why they are referred to as "90s supermodels" instead of "THE supermodels" as the poster suggests.

The other day i had a call from Tatiana asking me if i had Antonio's former Swiss PA's phone number. I consider it far more remarkable than getting a call from Crawford about Schiffer. Just for the record, by Tatiana and Antonio i mean Tatiana Valovaya and Antonio Guterres.
In spite of her public tabloid behavior at times, Naomi comes across as a very warm hearted devoted friend and person. I have tremendous respect for her. And she has the best legs in the biz
She plays nice now, but she destroyed the career of many Black models (she didn't succeed with Tyra, though). She was dropped by Elite, because most clients complained about her arrogance and she was banned for life by British Airways for her nasty behavior. She can't blame coke as she did in the past, because it is just a matter of ugly personality.
Cynthia B I totally agree with you. I love how she mentions all over fellow supermodels too. It gives a wonderful sense of sisterhood and true friendship. I think Naomi has gotten some very bad press in the past. She always comes across so graciously and giving in her interviews.
Not to point out the obvious, but Naomi has done plenty of interviews and tv shows where she comes off as the polar opposite of what you see here. She has been filmed being downright nasty. You know it. I know it. We all know it. But even if she was all sunshine everytime the cameras are on, what defines you is how you treat people when you think no one is watching. Naomi assaults you or engages in the kind of diva behavior that earned her the reputation she has when no one is watching. She is a great model. She has a great walk and a beautiful figure. But please don't insult my intelligence by acting like she is Miss Congeniality.
I don’t see it as arrogance tbh I see it as a confident woman who knows what she wants and doesn’t sugarcoat shit for anything, she was a young dark skinned woman who had to survive being in the industry so ofcourse she’s gonna be a tough rock, I’ll forever be grateful for her
