Naomi looked so sharp today, and it was great to see her so consistent in the second set after the first. At the moment, Naomi is looking really strong for this tournament and the US Open, and is certainly playing like a top player right now.

No, she has. You just feel she is playing A++++++ Tennis bcuz you haven't watched her play in a long time. This was a 6.5 or 7 out of 10 performance. She was serving ridiculously good in Brisbane. Just to take you back to that tournament, she served around 55-60 aces in 4 matches. Almost 15 aces per match. The thing I'm really happy with Naomi is her attitude. She is calm, poised and yet very focused with a few C'mons. The game can be up and down with every match. The attitude now is a solid 9 out of 10.
@@saurabhchakrabarty7362 when she was with Sascha her first serve was 90 percent in some matches, now she can barely get it above 65. In the first set I believe it was 50 and for the whole match it was around 60%. So yeah statistics prove you wrong,
Naomi was calm. It's him who was kind weird. I read on his face that dayana ain't do nothing . But he is smart tough person And an tough opportunist . But naomi is much smarter.
@TheRini123 He was a hitting partner with Serena and Azarenka, NOT a coach, The highlight of his coaching career was coaching Osaka. All this happened in our life time, let not change history now.....
This girl is my favorite to taking the us in a few weeks. Big server, big forehand. Dictating play on the baseline. She's going to be tough to beat if she's on it.
@@preciousashimole6507 he is not talking about yastremska. She was talking about osaka and he got it right bc she won us open again. Yastremska got out in the second round 😂😂😂, by brengle😂😂😂
Improving her serve .Naomi is few more steps as she used to be Wim is doing his job well and Yutaka in her diet and training Karue as a hitting partner ..
That serve gonna make Naomi double digit slam winner one day. Here i said it. She has weapons, movement and mentality and she has FITNESS, the most important requirement in modern game. She wins one slam per year but with improvement, she can win multiple per year
With there being no crowd, Osaka is playing completely free. Not the slightest hint of nerves. Her timing was fantastic. Just clocking the ball. Look out U.S. Open.
Easy win for Naomi - she sat back and let Dayana do all the work for her. Dayana is where Naomi was in 2016. Dayana has everything Naomi has, but Naomi is just better in all facets. Must have felt like playing Mini Me for Naomi.
I hope Naomi is back. I get to annoyed seeing all these women do great and then slack off like, Sloane Stephens who has become a complete disappointment. Doesn’t even try to win. I’m glad Naomi is not falling into that rut. She is my third favorite female tennis player after Serena and Sofia Keenan.
@Jorge García Robles . Wait. Naomi has a very strong personality. Honest. Strict. Serious. If she fixe one things in her personal life. The sky is limit like bj King said on her 2 years ago. And can turn a global icon like Federer. Messi. Cr7 . Michael jordan. Tiger woods. Michael Schumacher. Bruce Lee

There are a lot of young big hitters out here, Yastremska, Alexandrova, Amanda Anisamova, Andreescu, Co Co Gauff and others. What makes Osaka different is her power flows off the racquet to smoothly, she still has great consistency with her shots. And the serve looks like it's really firing
I think Bianca is different from the other young big hitters too. Bianca has solid game plan plus variety. She and Naomi are specially distinguished from the rest
@@notis6107 I disagree. Nobody has been able stand out. Anyone I mentioned has a chance to go on a run just like Naomi and Bianca did. Yastremska could beat either one
@@seanjenkins331 yastremska just got destroyed by osaka, no all this player u mentioned havent shown something as dominant as 2018 osaka and 2019 andreescu. If they do then fine but till then is seems just something stupid to compare them with grand slam winners. They only way for yastremska to beat them is if they are extremly out of shape
Naomi has added slice in bh, has improvement moment, her BH which was tragic last year isn't missing, her second serve has become weapon, forehand and first serve has been always great. She made ball basher Dyana look so basic. Those who call Naomi basher, don't know what aggressive tennis is!
I was just thinking that. Both can hit big but it makes such a difference when you can hit big on serve too. So many of these girls can go toe to toe from the baseline but lack an effective second serve.
Its not the serve only. They both have strong groundstrokes, but osaka can hit way more consistent she is not just bashing the ball like yastremska, yastremska is overhitting , osaka is not. Thats also a great difference
What a jinx! You never know, if she had won that point. Deuce, then Naomi gets tight! And losses the game, then the set! Medvedev did lose, from 5-1 up, and on match point!
@@pauljohnson6019 she didnt won that point bc thats the rules. Also she was a set down and 2 breaks down in the 2nd set, osaka just demolished her , even if she won the point the propability of her winning would be 1 in a million

Don't forget the fact that Naomi had issue with her shoulder after winning Beijing... so that means she felt it in Shenzhen,Brisbane & Melbourne. That explains horrible losses to Gauff & Sorribes Tormo when she hit more than 80 UEs in these 2 matches combined! She said to the press that she feels much better now :) I'm optimistic for the upcoming Us Open! Let's go queen 💪💪💪❤ p.s. glad she put Dayana in her place. That girl need to learn how to respect her opponents.
shenzen yes the other not so sure. Since she is a big hitter errors are understandable but more consistency would be nice. Yes, I hope she wins US Open too.
Dayana came out to play with two injuries on one leg. She could not run to the right with an emphasis on her right leg. No miracle happened. It will be interesting to see them in equal physical form.
Hahahaha that injury was so fake... When you have a leg injury you cant run or jump as she did during that match all the time. I dont know if u watched the whole match but i did and she was literally showing no movement problem. Why are you people just acting like it was not obvious that osaka would destroy her she is a 2 times major winner that at times she was just playing excellent tennis and a former world number 1. I dont know if now she is at her best but even an average osaka is more than capable of destroying a player who was never even inside the top 20
Yastremska lost because she didn't ask for medical timeouts, that's her main tactic... Talking seriously, Dayana really thought that going fire vs fire with Osaka would be good for her ?? Wrong tactic or maybe it's the only type of game Dayana has
Neary one way traffic, Unexpectedly. Nervous yesterday, she said. Today's feature is her trademark, big forehand. With small adjustments, pounding her opponent brutally. Served well (since yesterday) She is very dangerous now. P. S. "sorry" for ballpersons from Naomi for her wild 1st serve was heard today? Missed a live.
Lmao why does no one ever develop a plan b to beat Naomi besides just hitting hard. Have we not learned that you cannot overpower her when she is confident and playing well?Yastremska got decimated.
@@SquidDesignNot to be judgmental, but do you follow tennis at all (I mean at the professional level)? I've literally watched well over 1000 matches, heard linesmen/women make 2-3000 "calls", I guess you can see where this is going....I have never seen a match decided on a foot fault. Unless you believe that players never foot fault?? Get some opinions (google) on that unlikely scenario from the pros: "You can't be serious"
@@ronwatts5827 I'm aware of McEnroe's opinion on the matter and I just happen to disagree. Serena Williams vs. Kim Clijsters US Open SF was decided on a foot fault. It's not pretty, but rules are rules. Tennis is a game of inches. If a shot is a centimeter out, it's out. Hewitt and Edberg used to get called on foot faults constantly, and they've certainly been called on big points.
@@SquidDesign ahhhh the infamous Serena foot-fault; but that only makes my point, i.e she was a notorious foot-faulter, but most of it was let go. As well there are many more pros (not just McEnroe) who realize the inconsistency in the rulings. The reality is, like the time limits between serves, foot faults (I don't even think Yastremska received a warning..ouch) are not consistently called, to call one at matchpoint is totally illogical.
@@ronwatts5827 so make it consistent and call all foot faults. The lines person is simply instructed to call out balls and foot faults. Should the umpire instruct them on which ones to call and which not to? If we decide we are not calling foot faults on match points, what's to stop a player from taking a healthy step into the court before launching one?
Hopefully, it's a temporary period in the women's tennis - pure power and nothing, absolutely nothing else. I really expect in 5-8 years to see a change; power + other elements of the games (what we have in the top men's tennis).
@@deepakmahajan4978 sounds like you are talking nonsense.
