Great track. Jurgensen like vocals. Intense, hypnotic, cool guitar harmonies. Good production... I thought I wouldn't like it but it's pretty impressive.
The band is rediscovering its middle period with Fear Emptiness Despair, Diatribes, Inside The Torn Apart and Words From The Exit Wound from 1994-1998. Mid-tempo groove oriented songs. This will be a great album for sure.
@@brianforbes1538 I understand what you're saying Brian. I certainly wouldn't want to hear new Napalm albums sounding like the ones cabalofdemons mentioned (especially Torn Apart & Exit Wound, the only albums that I don't own by Napalm). A bit of experimentation is fine with me,but nothing commercial like this, and ideally extremity all the way! Am sure there'll be blast beats a-plenty (well I hope so anyhow!)
@@Treborhtims1972 Definitely agree, Fear/Emptiness and Diatribes came out when I was in high school, and they never really ... worked for me at the time, though I appreciate them more today. I'll end up buying the new album regardless, and I'm sure you're correct that it won't disappoint ! Nonetheless a curious choice to release this track
Fear Emptiness, Diatribes, Harmony Corruprion are my personal favorite Napalm Death albums. Corrosive Elements, Cursed to Crawl,Hung, Suffer the Children. All quintessential songs.
I'm obviously a huge grindcore fan, tape traded with the best of them, but Diatribes was when I truly became die hard about these guys. Question though: What album was "Down in the Zero" from? Was it Inside...Torn Apart? Thx in advance.
man what a song ! so much beautiful small details in the song , that's what I like about death metal, in the burst of rapturous rhythms you can find small details ...
As a KJ fan I hear a lot of influence, my dad having grown up during Ministry's reign hears more of them. Regardless this is a band inspired by many greats from a time before me
It's awesome when Napalm Death do their songs like this as it had those post-punk, Industrial and Stenchcore (Crust Punk) influences in them. Killing Joke being one of their major influences as well, theres those tinges of gothy and Industrial vibes, and Napalm Death are the masters of making any style in an extreme form.
This has some Gorjira flavor. Not bad a bad thing. This band is known for changing its dynamic of their music or metal in general . This is why these guys have been around over 40 years.
We would scream the last chorus to unfit earth on the way to school back in the day. Always look forward to new Napalm. Very ministry in a way with the straight beat, but it’s still Barney belting it out. Hell yeah.
Anything new from napalm is more than welcome... Too bad people aren't that familiar with the vibe it's really not that surprising if you have actually listened rather than assumed. Good stuff lads see you soon!!!
Funny how these guys and Killing Joke, all in their 50’s, are doing this quality at this stage in their careers. All you kids take note, this is how it’s done.
Fantastic. A track with the sonic DNA of Unsane, early Helmet, and Killing Joke. The vocals call to mind Skinny Puppy and Ministry. Thankfully, Napalm Death has never been a one-dimensional band, relying exclusively on blast beats and blankets of noise. Some might be put off by how seemingly straightforward “Amoral” feels in comparison to their early work. But Napalm would not have endured thirty-plus years writing “Deceiver” over and over and over. Napalm survives (and thrives) precisely because they haven’t wedded themselves to the genre they helped create. Instead, they evolve. Their musical reach expands continually. They are visionaries-and I can’t wait to hear the new album.
Even though my politics and Braneys maybe complete opposite, ND, track after track, remains my favorite band and will always deliver pure original Musick it the most definitive decree.
Uh, the complete opposite of Napalm Death’s overt political positions is...fascism. Corporatocracy. Ecocide. The Authoritarian Mindset. I guess I could see why the cognitive dissonance of Napalm being a band you love wouldn’t bother you at all. I guess.
Ah. Looked at your page. You’re actually a Nazi. Good luck with that OFF the internet. If you ever come to a show repping that stuff, ND fans will ruin you. Must feel isolating.
