The side of Naples nobody wants to acknowledge. The other issue is, this part of E. Naples floods easier than anyplace else in SWFL.

I lived there for 7 years when I first moved to Naples. Never had any problems with anyone.

We definitely have an issue in the US when it comes to affordable housing. When people in some major cities are making middle class wages but live in campers or even tents and are more or less homeless that's a problem.

Here too will be gentrified as Naples Park has been. The lower and working class will be pushed out. The people here are working class, make a decent wage, but because of the cost of living in Collier County is so high they have no choice. Should it be in another part of the country it would be different.

I come from relatively humble beginnings and my parents bought their first house in the US in 1988, about 13 years after they came to the US… and like you said, they aren’t selling that house we grew up in.

I am 8.6 miles from Naples Manor, a place I thought I had never visited until I realized I have been to Habitat for Humanity located there. Most, although not all, wealth in Naples and Collier County was earned by efforts not focused on Naples. Many of us chose a long time ago to follow a very disciplined path in life that has cost us a great personal price to walk. I respect anyone who works to support themselves and their family, but we too have earned what we have achieved.

Still worlds nicer than philly, just moved to Naples from there and some of the hoods there don’t even have drivable roads or standing houses...homes are collapsing into each other and the roads have car sized craters in them

Love east Naples but very pricey and alot of old people lol .

I grew up in Naples manor in late 70s and 80s... looks nothing like it use to and my home and my grandparents home is now gone...Even the lake I fished in is gone.. not the same.. won’t return.. and the price of the homes.. outrageous

I’d take that over New Port Richey any day.

Lol no place is naples is a hood. Bet you haven't been outside the county if you think so. I grew up in naples and lived all around florida and abroad in 7 countries. Naples is one of the safest places to be in.

its not that bad anyways i been to those areas people are very nice its not even the hood, and most of those houses have great interior bro. Most of the gang stuff was duirng 2017. and that building in the start is a abandoned building so of course people are going to vandelize it and the reason why some many people grow food is because the weather is good and it can save you some cash, and the manor isnt the hood saying, this is where the mexicans, latinos, etc isnt bad and the manor is pretty chill not much stuff happens just normal days and i been in flordia in my whole live and they dont start from nothing they usally already have a well paying job it is true about some people who cant afford nice things but once you get to know the area and then the people its usally a very nice place with very nice people, but theirs always other people that make naples bad. (a red flag is shoes on powerlines) (sorry with any grammar mistakes)
