From obscurity to imperial glory, Napoleon rose to lead one of the mightiest powers in European history. It required a coalition of a dozen nations to take him down, and even now, over two centuries later, his impact on Western civilization is still being felt. This movie looks epic and I can’t wait to see it. Long live the Emperor!
Born on a small island to Italian-Corsican minor nobility. He came to the France at 8 away from his family. At 24, he’ll be promoted to Brigadier General and declared a National Hero. In little over 10 years, he would be crowning himself Emperor of the French. He will fight in over 70 battles, losing only 11. In lands stretching from the streets of Paris to Moscow, from the sands of Egypt to the mountains in Spain. He will hold most of Europe within his grasp and perfect the mastering of 18th century warfare. It took him being exiled twice to finally make him capitulate. Even as he sat his final years on the lonely South Atlantic island of St. Helena. He will die knowing that he will be one of the most remembered in all of history.
don't forget he was also a brilliant statesman, and created many economic and social policies to improve the lives of french citizens, improve the standards of living and also one of the modern world's first meritocratic educational systems. Even when he was exiled to the tiny island Elba, even there he started to work on developing the place and improving people's lives. Most people would just mope around, but he said "Emperor of Elba? Fine, I guess i'll do that job then"
His Imperial Majesty the Emperor of the French 🇫🇷, King of Italy🇮🇹, Protector of the Confederation of the Rhine 🇸🇱 and Mediator of the Swiss Confederation 🇨🇭 Napoléon Bonaparte 🦅🗿
Can’t quite understand the hate for this version in the trailer. So many saying the music isn’t appropriate. It’s called marketing folks. Dial of Destiny just suffered because Disney forgot it’s an old man in a hat to a lot of 20 Somethings so they didn’t go. I’m an Indy fan so that didn’t stop me. Therefore if we apply the same logic, why do 20 something’s want to see this when it’s about a guy who died over 200 years ago? Simple. Phoenix is a talismanic actor and has a big following amongst the young (Joker) but again the marketing department throw in a modern version of a classic Radiohead song (with Kinnship) in trying to hook a younger audience. I hope it works. As someone who has read a biography on Napoleon, what this guy attempted is phenomenal and he is up there with julius Caesar and Alexander the Great. The Battle of Waterloo was rightly a huge pivotal moment in global history. Our world would be very different today has it not been for what the Duke of Wellington described as “a damn close run thing”
Who sang this..???? I am from the Radiohead Era and knew it was from Kid A .. . Everyone Everyone around here Everyone is so near It's holding on It's holding on Everyone Everyone is so near Everyone has got the fear It's holding on It's holding on It's holding on It's holding on It's holding on
I’m the biggest radio head fan and I like this version, but to be honest, the original was better on this trailer, and Netflix proves with stranger things “running up that hill” that not everything need to be remixed to be a hit, or live a new glory!
It’s really good I asked who sang this on radio heads reddit but they trashed this version saying it’s terrible. I guess purists are stubborn in their ways
I don't agree, its not that bad, its actually adapted better to the trailer that the original might have been. But i bet listening to it(without visuals) dose'nt have the "magic" of the original.
C’est un remix de Radiohead - National Anthem (mais tellement mieux) et oui moi aussi je me réjouis qu’elle soit publiée. Si jamais, le premier qui l’a trouve, fait partager aux autres ? 😗
"You're awful, Joséphine. Having an affair with other guy. Wasting my salary with Luxury. You just wanted to make fun of my love. You're just like the rest of them!" - Napoleon Bonaparte
To be fair,he faced Wellington in Spain - no easy task. I feel that, once he occupied Moscow,he should have, immediately, set his army to gathering provisions - enabling him to winter there. Had he done so,we might have a very different global reality today.
@@giedmonds78 this is the best you can do at the moment, I doubt it will be released as a full song on the Soundtrack. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M9WEkiD_zQQ.html @anthonymartin9096 likewise!
They had a 1 in a million golden opportunity with this movie and they butchered it. The music sucked aswell. They should have just spammed this track through the whole movie honestly.
