Naraka Bladepoint is a brand new 60 player action combat RPG Battle Royal hybrid that came to steam on August 12th 2021 already receiving over 20,000 mostly positive reviews.
In terms of gameplay think a cross between Sekiro and Black Desert Online with great visuals, detailed character customization a cosmetic loot box cash shop and the option to play trios, solo or just mess around in bloodbath mode which is like a free for all match style mode.
As someone who's not a big battle royale player will this finally be the game to get me into the genre?

Yeah, after 2 matches u begin playing with players but sometimes u find bots when there are not enough players. I enjoyed a few matches until i began getting my ass whooped every single time cos skill gap is so high.

@@affent1522 15 hours into ranked mode and I'm still facing bots, until about 20 players remain, then it's usually 3/4 players but still some bots remaining interestingly enough.

@@richardbatky1306 you are lucky, in 7 hours that i played in rank mode i was always facing players. i wish i had bots so i can feel good about myself LOL a few times even met the top 3 players like "Mime" i think and others. It was instant kill, didn't know what hit me lmao

Just a heads up, the first 5 or so games you do are filled to the brim with bots. It's how this game gets you used to playing the game without instantly throwing you to the wolves.

I really like the speed of this game's movement and attack animations Its not so fast to the point of feeling slippery but not so slow either. Its just right and it helps to appreciate the animation work

@@hayazi96able I basically just eat at a calorie deficit, do Muay Thai boxing sessions every Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday do muscle workouts, having some kinda fun workout like boxing helps with motivation and sense of progression a lot.

Watching TLP play this for the first time after having been playing myself for a couple of weeks was the purest thing I've seen this year. The customisation shown at the outro to the video was really cool, seeing Illidan being made, Handsome Squidward and a Gorilla? It just makes me think you can really focus on customisation if you want which can involve RP aspects into your gameplay, which is something only MMOs or Singleplayer games do

bought for a week. Would totally recommend this. the action is fast paced. the melee game reminds me of a fighting game. it is reaction, practice, and mind game. But with BR elements in it so there is teamwork involved. the game has a healthy player base too. Now it is top 10 game on steam by player count. So far my gripe with the game is it only has 7 character to choose from so far, but developer already announced more characters to come, so i guess there will be more characters to choose from soon?

Yooooooo Peon, your weapons weren't breaking, it's because you were being countered which drops your weapon on the ground so you have to look for it. If they break they are still in your hands, which is why there's repair kits

Honestly I am glad a game like this is taking a medieval fantasy approach to battle royale instead of just guns and grenades. About time companies look into the potential a medieval fantasy version of battle royale can provide.

I know its not really your video style, but getting a buddy to play this type of game with you would really add to the experience. I think that's the main appeal of BR games. High moments of action with slower moments to just hang with the boys.

Hey bud, just a little fun fact At the end when you said your weapon was broken? It didnt break, Tianhai (The monk character) has a ability you can unlock a little later where if he uses his counter special ability when you try to do a blue focus attack on him you get disarmed - best way to counter is to wait it really til it dissapears

yeah, the main thing I feel needs to get changed is grapple hook. if you enter a fight, like a 1v1, and start losing, there is absolutely no way to escape and heal unless someone third parties because grapple hooking as no cooldown for hooking other players, and unless you're Matari, no other characters have an escape ability.

@@aheahe7943 yoto can escape with her basic F and personally i think it should be difficult to run from a 1v1. The game would just turn into everyone grappling away as soon as they started losing a fight and whoever had the most healing items would have a significant advantage.

@@ColbyJacked would give healing items an actual purpose at least. after winning a fight I usually just restore shields and head straight into the next fight. But im not saying it should be a long cooldown, it should just be enough that if someone hooks you and misses the follow-up or you avoided their follow-up attack, they shouldn't be allowed to then immediately hook you again. Bad dodging is punished with running low on stamina, bad parrying is punished with a few recovery frames where you can be hit before doing anything, bad focus attacks are punished with parries. Grapple Hook into flying attack has no punish. Hop in a game with greatsword and just jump + vertical hit spam people do death and if they try to dodge or run just ez hook and continue, carried my way through to 2400 MR doing that. it's dumb.

@@aheahe7943 you can block any flying grapple hook attack and if you hit a knockup attack while they are flying then you just outdamage them. However I did quit the game a week in because of the greatsword jumping, even have a vid of it in fact

People, tell me pliz: Control settings in the game can be changed or always default ... There is a very cool assembly on the Keys: 1 and 2 abilities * (Hook-Cat and The one on "F") = "Q" and "E" > >> Interaction immediately reassigned to "F" Ultimate ability to "X" A Heal and Armor Repair to "C" and "Z" Much more familiar; Correct* (much better perceived than now...)

I have sunk about 200 hours into the game. I do have to agree with the Region lock. Fighting Chinese players at Gold+ Rank is super annoying. Glad to see you too have found a BR that you like just as I have. :)

The gameplay of the high ranked players is unreal on twitch. I'll just stick with being a casual though lol. I just can't get a handle on the mechanics, since I'm not a keyboard and mouse guy. The controller is too slow with managing inventory. Hopefully they improve controller support.

I like this, cus its mostly melee based. Problem with other BR games, is they have guns, and you always seem to get picked off with the one douche with a sniper rifle. Or one guy has a legendary Shotgun and 1 shots you. This actually looks like theres a chance to get into a fight and survive more than one blow.

Why can't they make a game like this, as a MMORPG instead of Battle Royale??? Give a MMO this games combat and movement. Add in a big open world and story. Make sure pay2win doesn't intrude. You got yourself a great game.

The issue is MMOs are much bigger with hundreds of players, to account for the latency they develop combat that is kinda sluggish

will. i think you just need buy the game . and spend about like 20$to buy the pass. and when you keep play ,the pass will give you lot random skin. if you lucky ,you will get the most good one just by lucky. and i are ready see lot of people get that . wich is greet . i are ready get about like 10 kind red skin in the game . if you buy those skin with real money, i think it will cost about like 100$. but all by lucky . so im kind enjoy it . and by the way , all the skin was just for better looking . not gone help you anything when you fight.

I played this beta, was so much fun. But the game got stale after the first several games on official release. I had troubles understanding the games difficulty in player base. Far easier for hardcore players
