This is part 2 of the Gabby Petito Story, covering Brian Laundrie. Luminance by Scott Buckley Used with Permission CC 4.0 www.scottbuckley.com.au Thank you all for your patience!
If "THEY" deem it unsuitable, you know your doing something right. I commend you on your unwavering passion and listening to your heart, you can feel that in the way you present your content, which is worthy for all to see, hear and sense. I look forward to anything you put together, it is so well done.
Thank you! I have missed you all too, this episode took way too long, I am trying to have a more static release schedule I promise! I hope this one doesn't disappoint :/
@@LPRPresents Love your content like everyone else man I was wondering if you had some time to talk about Ashley Young It's an extremely perplexing case because the misinformation is so with widespread and Google tries to use the soccer player when you use her name even if you specifically search for it nothing nothing comes up unless you really look for it hard and it's a lot of the same stories. So this cover has to be deep which could potential dangerous but what I'm really focused on is James Chance there is more red flags with
Hey LPR! I discovered your channel 4 days ago and I've been going through your "something criminal" series since- I'm currently on the Todd Kohlhepp trilogy (needless to say you've got me hooked), and I just wanted to say how absolutely fantastic your content is, I found it very professional from the get go and with your constant strive to improve and fix mistakes, your openness to the audience and your commitment to tell the story from all sides and honor the victims is truly admirable- I'm certain your content would be appealing to the millions, I think you deserve a spot as one of the top true crime channels and I can't wait to see you get there
Thank you! Something Criminal as a career would be a literal dream come true! I know it boils down to a release schedule, which I am trying to adhere to, but RL gets hectic and I constantly find myself short on time. One day tho, fingers crossed, it happens! Thank you for your support
Omg how have you been?? I'm so glad you did this one 💞 I was so excited when I saw you in my notifications 😀 couldn't wait to say Hi. Now I'm going to watch it Lol 😂🤣.
The Channel would get that kind of attention with consistency, the output is too low. The quality is there, the narration is on point. Simply not enough content to blow up. The big channels post 1-2 videos a week on the same days.
@@dkg2434 I completely know what you say is true. The channel growth up to this point has been purely organic, through this amazing community. The truth is, I am only 1 guy, I have no team behind me doing research or writing scripts, video editing or mastering... I consider this channel my first, full time job, even though it does not currently pay anywhere near a livable wage. But, I love doing this. I want nothing more than to be able to say goodbye to my normal day and concentrate SOLELY on Something Criminal. I am constantly trying to figure out ways to leverage more time, although this summer it has been incredibly hard. My original idea was to do seasons of only 8 episodes, 1 per month and take the summer off, with an extra month in there just because life happens. I know that even that schedule is not in line with the RU-vid algorithm, but I figured I should start somewhere. In short, I think Im trying to say that I love this channel, I love this community, and am truly trying my very hardest to keep up a regular schedule and tighten up the frequency of my releases. One day that will all come together, and soon, I hope! Until then, thank you for your support, and I promise I am working towards this channel as a career.
@@LPRPresents I Will be here for the come up. You’re style is unique and different and there is definitely a place for you in this space. Looking forward to follow you’re progress.
I'm sorry but any young, healthy, normal person who clearly loves life wouldn't fall down and have the immediate reaction well just please put me out of my misery like an old sick animal. Yup I just wanna give up now. They would want you to get help immediately. Do liars actually believe their own lies? Like, did he understand how stupid he sounded?
I’ve been anticipating this episode and wow you did not disappoint. Thank you for truly putting everything into your videos. Your parkland shooting video is how I found your channel and you are the only content creator I pledge to but it is SO worth that “coffee” every month to keep this amazing content going ❤️ I’m sorry these are hard for you to create but I hope you know how appreciated your incredible work is!
I totally understand why covering the people of cases like involve murder or death take so much out of you! I always love the dignity that you give to both sides of the case!! I love your channel and I’m always happy to wait for as long as it takes you to post a video!! Thank you so much!!!!
Thank you so much! I truly appreciate the support. I wish I could produce more videos, more frequently; doing something criminal as a career would be a literal dream come true! When I first started doing these it was just for fun, something I had hoped a few friends would watch and enjoy, but the channel picked up speed pretty quickly, and the hobby endeavour became something I devoted the majority of my free time to. As I have progressed as a creator, so has the amount of time spent on each episode. It’s just me behind all the research, scripting, narration and video production. I never realized how much other creators must put into their craft, as each episode now takes me at a minimum 100 hours to complete. I never want to go backwards and take shortcuts in production, and integrity in narrative is very important to me, truthfully it’s research and writing that takes up most of the time. If I reach out to people involved with the cases then it extends that time even further as I have to wait for responses. It truly always amazes me that my viewer base and people like you, stick around for the next episode. I literally have knots in my stomach when publishing each episode, wondering if I’ve lost momentum or if people have just moved on. So, thank you for sticking around, it helps with my confidence more than I could ever verbalize!
Brian could have gotten her to the hospital or called 911. But he didn't. He killed her because he knew her injuries (which he never described as to how they happened other than he found her submerged in the creek after calling out to him) would give away that he was the cause of them. That's why he ended his life afterwards, in order to avoid the penalty of his actions. A truly merciless coward he is.
I loved it!!! You have a gift 🎁. The way you explain the details of the crimes with such sympathy and grace and yet your attention to detail and the way you explain the crime, gives the listener such a vivid picture of everything that happened. You truly have a gift. I'll be patiently waiting for the next video. This was like I expected, perfection!! Take care. 😀
Congrats on completing this challenging project … as a forensic scientist here in the U.K. I know how hard it can be to gather facts and research and conclude a subject matter… I’m now going to watch this amazing production that you never fail to amaze me with, such skills and talent.
WOW. this has to be the best video I’ve seen about this case. I just found your channel, I can’t believe you don’t have subs! I am a new subscriber ❤ I will recommend your channel to all true crime fans. Rest in peace Gabby 🦋
Well done Darren. This took persistence, commitment, and an immense amount of talent. Congrats on bringing it all together so wonderfully. Thank you for your phenomenal work proud to be one of you're Patrons
If Gabby really was injured as Brian claimed in his suicide letter(I doubt she was injured), then I would have rushed her back to the van by picking her up and carrying her to the van, and I would have rushed her to the nearest Medical facility or to the nearest hospital to save her. I don’t believe anything Brian said in his suicide letter. Brian very well could have been telling the truth about what happened to Gabby but I don’t believe a single word of it. He murdered poor Gabby with intent to murder her💔. It was no accident as he claimed. Brian was abusive towards Gabby and he murdered her💔.
I followed this case the whole month of September as it unfolded to the point where I was a bit obsessed and most definitely angered and disappointed at how everything played out. The amount of detail and coverage you spent on this is unmatched. I learned so many new things about this tragic case. This level of content will be appreciated across the masses soon enough. Keep up the great work!
Another great piece! It was so well done, the time honestly flew by. Thank you for your tireless effort in putting out quality and compassionate true crime content. I will continue to share with everyone I know who enjoys true crime. ❤️
His parents deserve to be charged and held accountable for aiding him. Only a fool could believe that they didn't know their son had done something bad or that he was going to disappear and evade justice. They knew he came back alone and purposefully ignored Gabby's parents when they were worriedly trying to find her. Parents have a strong love for their children, but that does not justify what they did. Gabby and her parents deserve at least SOME justice...they have got none so far and that breaks my heart.
YES!!!! 😌 Oh this is gonna be good. You do ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WORK WITH HOW YOU TELL THE STORIES. Got my glass of wine & sitting on my couch 🛋 . It’s story time 🙆🏻♀️
Started this one last night and finished it just now. Your ability to narrate an unbiased view point always amazes me. I’m sure you wonder if there is too much narration at times and I want you to know that your voice soothes me as I’m listening and watching such horrific crimes that occur. I know that this subject has been covered extensively but I’m so very glad that I held off on watching anything about Brian in the hopes that your channel, you, would cover this story. Thank you for all that you do! Totally worth the wait. ❤️
29:59 I have a feeling that is not a real suicide letter of Brian’s, because the one that was found that was a suicide letter of Brian’s was written in blue ink, not in black ink.
Even before death he lies. Nothing of it rings true. He murdered her and then couldn't even admit his own culpability for the death of this "beautiful" person that he "cannot live without".
In this tragic case there's something I don't understand. I have to say that I'm not an US citizen and don't know the US law. So, why the police couldn't talk to Brian when he returned to his parent's house? I know that everyone has the right to remain silent but when Gabby's parent's filed a missing report because they didn't have news from her and they knew Brian went back home in Gabby's van, it was obvious that something was wrong. He had been driving a van from a missing person!!! Even if they didnt knew at that time that he had used her credit card, why the police couldn't take him to ask about her? It wasn't his van so the police would have the right to ask if Gabby allowed him to drive her van and put him on custody until they had a conversation with her about this? He drove the van from a missing girl!!!Couldn't that allow the police to talk to him? I'm very confused about this, there were the "red flags" about her disappearance and Brian didn't have to say anything? I would be very grateful if you can explain this. (Sorry for my English which isn't too good). Thank you for your videos which are always very interesting.
"Gabby hated people who litter" - How about people who kill Brian? What did Gabby think about them, you know the sweet girl who loved life? Gabby didn't fall or hurt her wrist, you wrapped you fingers around her tiny neck and squeezed that bright light out of her because you had control issues, I could go on and on about what a despicable humain you were - but like the rest of the world I am done with you.... Thanks for the great upload as always you are truly appreciated xxx
Another fantastic, well researched, beautifully spoken narrative…… Your voice, combined with the dramatic music, makes viewing such a dramatic and suspenseful experience… Thank you for ANOTHER WELL DONE episode. 👍🏽❤️🇦🇺
It’s because of the big cross country trip they went on, she goes missing and is found murdered by her fiancé. He was found dead as well but from suicide, a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
@@panam747 Some missing person cases/murder cases do get more attention then others, but this one is different and got more attention because the news on television covered it quite a bit more then others. It captivated the country. I’m glad they did cover it as much as they did though. I feel terrible for Gabby and for her parents and for her family. They lost their daughter to murder and poor Gabby didn’t know she was going to be murdered by that POS which is not her fault. Gabby just wanted to go on a cross country trip with her fiancé, Brian. It’s Brian’s fault for being a lying, manipulative, abusive, narcissistic, murderous POS. If Brian had kept his hands off of her neck, she would still be alive today. And if he had been seen by the Moab Utah police as the aggressor and assaulter and abuser and if he had been arrested by them, then Gabby would have had the chance to decide to leave him physically and relationship wise and she would still be alive today. He had actually threatened to strangle her in the past, before he strangled her to death on August 27th 2021 in Bridger-Teton National Park in Wyoming.
@@LPRPresents 😂 Of course! I’m usually lurking around nearby somewhere. I’ve been pretty remiss with my commenting/engagement for your channel, though. I’ll make sure not to slack off..lol I enjoy seeing new faces and their comments about how well produced, researched, accurate and empathetic your videos are. It’s actually refreshing to see a creator favor quality over quantity and I believe your core audience appreciate the effort. You mention JCS videos and your videos remind me of Jim’s content. Not so much in style, of course, but more the preference of quality. As much true crime content that I literally devour Lol I still learn something new from your research and also different aspects. Truly do enjoy your content and your dedication to your craft! Hope you’re well. I promise to be more active in the comments to help w/engagement 😂
Ahhhh! It’s kind of my dream project, something I would very much like to work on. I had scripted it a few times, re-wrote it, gathered media, revisioned it, and was about to launch production when a different paying opportunity arose that could (and is) helping to supplement the incredible amount of hours I put into the channel. Sadly, SOL has taken a back seat, although I am nearing completion of the aforementioned contract and hope to begin work on it ASAP!! No promises.
I do believe Gabby wound up severely injured in the water, but I think she wound up that way because Brian put her there. When he says he put her out of her misery, I believe he got into an argument with her, beat her severely and when he realized just how badly he'd hurt her, he held her underwater while throttling her until she drowned. There are snippets of truth to his story, but he's told the story to paint himself as the hero, not the villian.
Brian like the Farao took his phone in aftelife i wonder witch netwrk works there..!Was 30 days i was talking about the news with my X.. i say much time is missing time to come above water ..I ment time to be spotted somewhere but dry water.anyway thats all to share!!!great episode close up Brian ..
I whole heartedly believe that these two have known the whole time. I think authorities came to them and stated you tell us where he killed himself or we charge you with obstruction. There is just no fucking way they knew where he was that quickly without them being told where he was. Also newest court documents state Christopher said in his deposition that Brian called him Aug 29 and was frantic, stated gabby was gone and asked hi. To get a lawyer.
It was released about 2 weeks ago, kind of under the radar, but kind of not. I think Brian is such a deep second place to Gabby in this tragic tale most people didn’t even notice. I didn’t, until I was in the home stretch of publishing this episode, and when I saw the letter had been published 2 days prior, I was forced into a rewrite as much of my perspective quickly changed.
I know narcissism is used a lot these days to describe people, maybe it’s overused or possibly not enough for how common it maybe 🤷♂️ but Brian was text book self interest narcissism. The letter was certainly not a sincere confession but an ego til the last moment. Maybe I’m reading too much in the phrase “I have killed myself by this creek in the hopes that animals may tear me apart.” But it’s almost liking himself to a Promethean mythos. He’s done a wrong yes, but for the noblest of reasons of compassion and above all love. Because of that he faces his torture, death and then like Prometheus’ liver being eaten for punishment, he too will be devoured by animals. The last part about Gabby hating litter was about himself. He’s guising his holier than thou environmentalism (which he made sure to display in that body cam footage refusing the plastic water bottle) as though it’s what Gabby wants. It may have been valid she hated litter but out of the things going on he knows littering isn’t one of the ‘sins’ needing to worry about and they don’t leave evidence at a crime scene. Always very interesting and enlightening.
Thank you! Your comment was very interesting and enlightening. I had thought the same things about Brian, but it was only speculative and I’m no psychiatrist. I found it strange however, that in his first letter, the suicide note to his parents, that he admits the relationship was a disaster. But in the journal, and letter addressed to Gabby, he makes no mention. There is so so much that doesn’t add up with this case, and I doubt any of us other than the Laundries, will know exactly what happened. Thank you again for your support and insightful comment.
Thankyou for doing this 👍 that note is bs 💩 that is all the stupid books he reads ... more like describing what gabby was doing while he did what he did to her 🤬
If it was really an accident like he claims in his note then his reaction would have been different. He wouldn't have fled leaving her out there and then not talk to the family or police before taking his own life.
I felt it was necessary to paint a picture of the household that Brian was raised in. Initially I had an entire chapter on his parents and their overprotective natures, how they coddled Brian, and fostered dependence on their values, instead of fostering Brians own independence. And then Brians letter to Gabby was released and I had to rethink a few key elements of the episode, eliminating the parents chapter and refocussing a few things. I think that the segment about Christophers political stance might seem a little out of place without the lead in, but still feel it was a necessary element to highlight how tunnel visioned his father (at least) was.
@@LPRPresents I see. Would be awesome to see that footage as a directors cut of sorts. But anything you put out I'll keep watching! Always enjoy your content.
I was loving your videos but after that political tangent, I stopped the video and refuse to watch more of your videos. That was unnecessary especially since you refused to focus on the other side as well. Blaming Trump supporters while not showing BLM or Antifa burning down cities during the "summer of love" wasn't very subtle at all.
I never impart personal opinion in my episodes, I simply report. It makes me wonder about what ‘tangent’ you are referring to. Furthermore this story was about Brian Laundries and everything relevant to his story. Going off about BLM and Antifa has nothing to do with his story at all, so why should I include it. I can assure you if this story was about trump supporters, the scope of narrative would have been appropriately written to include such things.
What are you going on about? He mentioned what was RELATED to the story...the only one going on a tangent is you. Let's all take a deep breath and use our noggins lol
