I think very few were golden child, spoiled. More often - abused children who never had their needs met. Were emotionally and physically punished until they could no longer trust the indications, rules, and feedback from the family of origin - so they made up versions of parents and sibs inside themselves. They became willing to burn everything to the ground because they no longer had any reputation, or expectations to be good - how could you if the goal posts and rules for punishment never made sense and always moved??? - so they had to create their value and worth as a mask - a fantasy - all self-gratifying, internal projection of all the players - as they hope for a perfect self-defined ideal - that they pedestalled you on, until you disappointed them - now you are getting the rage from an adult whose emotions never matured past 6 yrs old. They aren't spoiled. They are like trying to rescue a pitbull that was beaten, chained to a tree, and fed raw meat for the first 4 yrs of its life. They are like trying to domesticate a feral adult cat. They were fundamentally broken but learned to cope and create a normal - where they are always the hero or victim... Not realizing that the person most willing to destroy the most people and stuff to get their own way is almost always the villain. They are pitiable. Because they ruin any chance of happiness for themselves by chasing it as their ultimate goal. When LOVE given and received would make them so fulfilled, healed, important, wanted, and forgiven - they have not felt real love - so they reject it as weak.
This is completely true. This why they don't call. Then they say they are traumatized. Never said I was perfect, and I can have a bad day as good as anyone else, but to blame me. They crossed a line.

So true! They will blame us for everything that goes wrong if their lives! And I mean everything even after they leave…. they are so afraid of hearing the truth from anyone….consequently, they use isolation as a tactic to avoid seeing ANY TRUTH about themselves. They choose only people that will give them constant approbation and approval. Their sycophants are deathly afraid of exposing them to any kind of truth about their behavior as a human being. It’s really sad. 😔
Try being raised by one, really fucks you up. My dad used to convince me girls weren't into me and destroyed my self esteem. Took a long time to work him out and realise women do like me, why on earth someone would you try to ruin their kids confidence amd happiness is beyond me.

This is so sad but completely true. I have her everything for 5 years we divorced Jan 2024 and the dust is starting to settle and I’m slowly regaining clarity. I lost all of my friends for her. The abuse was real physically emotionally and spiritually. To anyone else going through this I am with you
My late husband tried this so much. He ended up being isolated! Yet I stayed and took care of him during his illness. Something he would never do for me. Narcissist need so much therapy! 🙏✝️💪🕊️
On point! I screenshot all that he said to me, and told him it's literally verbal abuse, not only did he denied that it's verbal abuse, he stopped texting me, I think he is afraid. This is also one way to stop the narcisisst from contacting you, called them out, expose them, this will make them stay far away from you.

The ex of my boyfriend is trying to isolate him from me by trying to put me in a bad light. Luckily he doesn't react to that at all. 😂 But it's really hard for me to not get into defense mode or hold her accauntable. although I figured out that it's her plan.
Everyone does that, not just narcs. It's way too general. People leave because they're unhappy, of course they'll blame the other for making them unhappy. No-brainer. Those that don't, say, "It's not you, it's me." Which is so over-used as to be a joke, because we all know no one means it. See the first sentence.

Once you start seeing them for who they really are (leeches, parasites,...) you can start detach from them. Start with that, the rest (of the process) will follow.

They will tell there family and friends that you caused the breakup. They will say you treated them very badly and say you done all the things they actualy did do. Once they feel like they have convinced everybody that they luckily escaped a monster they now can let finally make public the new supply. Now instead of there family thinking they are a disgusting horrible person that is nothing but a parasite They will think there lucky to of found another guy so quickly 😂😂 Intelligent family members and friends will see through the lies but by thst stage it doesn't matter
