Not really. He cheated on his wife multiple times - even around his children - and refused to surrender so his children would be released from the (basically) prison they were being held in in the capital. He was actually a horrible person. His son talks at length about it in interviews
That young kid who was told to go cover the side of the house was regretting his life choices to that point. Probably thinking “why tf didn’t I listen to my parents, wtf am I even doing here I’m putting my life on the line for a drug trafficker so he can escape…I just wanna go home” And he is killed seconds later
His only chance was either to find an excuse to stay near the car, or run into the wilderness and hope nobody (neither the assasins nor pablo’s men) sees him
I honestly don't get it - how could Pablo's mother stay so out-of-touch. Not to mention, after he died, she claimed her son was a good man and they simply spread lies about him. Like lady, he gave bounties on lives of every Colombian cop. He blew up a plane full of people, caused explosions in Bogota, killed goodness knows how many people - and you think he was a good man?

If he wasn't getting raided by the cartels, he would be getting raided by the cops. I do show a lot of respect for how he treats his loved ones; he literally burned millions to keep his family warm.
Thing is, they weren't Cartels. They are arguably worse. Los Pepes, a death squad formed by FARC guerillas to kill anyone with any remote affiliation to Escobar. Including his wife and children.
There is one thing I do not understand and I hope someone can answer it I am confused why everyone’s face looked depressed and Pablo‘s voice trembled when his daughter asked a question. I just don’t get it
Because he would do anything for his daughter. Murder, terrorism, anything. When a man that follows nobody's rules and governs his own emotions feels like he can't provide or let down the people they love. We feel fear.
One of the best scenes ever but after this it just showed me how stubborn and clueless and just plain dumb the elders can be in situations 😂 you can never live a gangsters life with elders like that if they’re going to do stuff like that. You have to separate. In the movie No country for old man the main character died because the mama going around telling everybody where they about to move😂

2:45 Ik it’s fictional and Pablo has plot armor until the very end but I cannot get over how this dude had a clear shot at Pablo and decided to just bust in and not only draw attention to himself, but not even shoot Pablo and get himself killed for virtually nothing. He could have fired at Pablo as if he’s shooting fish in a barrel and escaped through the door he entered lol
probably the main plan was to capture Pablo to take his money. Pablos son said that he told him if they were captured by Los Pepes they are going to torture him to take the money, kill him and later give the body to the police, so at the last he would put a bullet on his head himself. When Pablo died he had a shot on his head.

The thing about the Drug business is whether voluntary or not, if your family is involved in the business, they’re in the game. Meaning at any time, they might get killed or worse.
It really is, Wagner Moura as Pablo Escobar will never fade from my memory. His acting through the entire scene was nothing short of outstanding to say the least.
