Lou used to be a fan when rocky first started rapping and doing tours. He had a asap tattoo before joining and they brought him back stage after a concert and thats how they became friends. Shits kinda crazy
I love how 80s punk bands were trying so hard to act cool even to the point of harassing and bullying Nardwuar while almost all these '' Hardcore Gangsta'' Hip Hop artist he interviewed showed him mad respect. That says something.
The first Henry Rollins interview was abit touch and go but it’s Henry Fucking Rollins, went back and did another a few years later and was much more smoother interview
Honestly how you treat Nardwaur shows a lot of your character... and that one p.o.s junkie that messed with him didn't deserve forgiveness from Nardwaur... but of course he's going to forgive almost anyone... he's Nardwaur 😁
He lets them say any curse word, he lets them speak for themselves, he brings gifts that he takes time out of his own time to research about so he gets a good gift. Nardwar is the best interviewer ever!
I just finally realized why Nardwuar does the freeze at the end. It’s the best, low budget and unobtrusive way for him to just evaporate and show the artist in their natural state.
and i think it was supposed to be freeze frame at first and then he starts to do it for longer and longer cos artist started fucked with him in funny ways
Rikardo Trevino Go find your attention elsewhere. Not one of the A$AP Mob is anything less than gentlemen. I wonder if when you die if a bunch of people that never met you will show you the respect we show Yams.
Simplz - On January 18, 2015, ASAP Yams was found dead at the age of 26.[30][31] The cause of death was ruled an overdose due to mixed drug intoxication,[25] although ASAP Mob members and affiliates claimed that Yams had died of asphyxiation and pulmonary aspiration brought on by sleep apnea.
This interview just goes to show the respect and influence these guys had for hip-hop history. Really shows in their music and overall style, it got them really far. Awesome interview.
This video proves what a legend Nardwuar is. I love how surprised the whole mob is when he's pulling out all these old facts like "you a fucking psychic man."
@@fino291 It's a comedically exaggerated reference to how Nardwuar keeps surprising people by confronting them with crazy facts they'd never expect anyone to find out or care about.
One crazy thing about Nardwuar is that a lot of times, Artists, especially ones like Rocky, run the interviews. No mothafucka could ever do that with my man Nardwuar...
you incompetent fool he means the one being interviewed usually is the one talking and revealing more of themselves, meaning they are comfortable with whos interviewing them which is rare
I love how this guy flatters all his guests by knowing so much about past and what they like. Like they can't help but like him despite him being so abstract and goofy opposite of their cool persona. Good content
For me this is the best interview nardvaur has ever done I loved the momentum and it was on 12 minutes long minus the 2 minutes of them just pausing at the end
It's funny how of all the people that Nard interviews, pretty much the only ones who "diss-out" are people like Slipknot, Rollins (early stuff), Sebastian Bach and the like, when the rap/hip hop scene, which gets so much flack for "disrespect" are welcoming. Snoop, Wu Tang, ASAP and the other are always welcoming, though the beginning might be bumpy, they always give a chance and don't pretend to be on a pedestal. I like rock music, but the amount of douchiness and self-inflation in rock is often overlooked. Not trying to spread any hate, but hell, Nard's interviews always bring out the human-element in performers, and it also brings out the "humble". Anyhow, god bless Nardwuar and all who sail with him.
You think Slipknot and Rollins was bad, they were just being curt with him. Watch the Sonic Youth interview. They were insufferably douchey. Blur was obnoxious as well, especially the drummer. I Personally think the more Punk/Alternative types tend to be the most cuntish in general. There definitely are also some welcoming Rock people as well. Rob Halford from Judas Priest was a gentleman, Slayer were pretty nice which is kinda funny considering their image, Mike from Opeth was good too, just to name a few.
A$AP YAMS: Nardwaur how you doin? 5:31 Nardwaur: Ay, amazing. Welcome to Austin Texas. A$AP YAMS: Thank You, how you doin? He's like damn I already asked that shit 5:38
I’m convinced that Nardwuar is a robot and when he says “doo do da loo doo” (while waiting for a response from others that the “doo do” is his cut off phrase
bro i’ve been down a rabbit hole tonight of people in the 90s treating Narduar like he’s fucking subhuman, seeing these guys all be so nice to him is refreshing :))
There’s a difference between knowing when someone worked with someone as big as Puff vs knowing when this person died, it’s clear Ferg noticed nardwar didn’t know and nardwar realized as moved on quick. It wasn’t awkward it was a once in life occurrence when Nardwar didn’t know something
He does the best interviews. Just throws out a topic at you, a meaningful one that hits those deep nostalgic memories, then holds the mic in your face while you reminisce on your life. Such an effective interview method.
I don't listen to a lot of the rappers that Nardwar interviews, but I love watching them. They're so insightful and personal. Even though I can't judge a person through a 10-20 minute video... Some of the people receiving gifts from Nardwar don't seem to appreciate them and that always upsets me. But when they're truly amazed and grateful for the gifts and act like little kids on Christmas it brings a happy tear to my eye man :)
