The reason this interview is good is they are both in their element. Nard is doing what he does best, interviewing people, and khalid talking about himself.
You really start to understand DJ Khaled was an actual DJ. His knowledge and hype for touching vinyl looks like a kid at the candy store. Loved this interview
There was a moment when Khalids eyes lit up and we saw a soul in there, he was genuinely floored and he turned back into an actual person and not a parody of himself.
Khalid may be cocky but he seems like such a positive person. I have never seen him hate or be negative yet that’s all the feed back he gets. He’s impenetrable to negativity and seems to live his life to the fullest. I respect that.
+MCM Studios Pittsburgh Recording Studio "30 Eons ago when you were committing xenocide of the plaxars on Planet Juiax, you really liked the local burger joint is that true?"
"so DJ Khalid, you were once caught sucking on a homeless man's balls for crack money right here in Vancouver BC Canada." "ey yo man aha you gettin deep, you gettin real deep man."
Breh his whole family is successful as fuck.. aka "SELF MADE" .. its just that he doesnt put his family out there.. spotlight is crazy bro... do u want people to know all ur business and shit?
How Khaled talked about being a bus boy was sad as fuck lol "Times was tuff i was going thru trials n tribulations" Its called working while working toward your own goals, nothing to be ashamed of.
@@Original-Phantom Listen to it again. read the captions then look at the body language. Hes ashamed someone knew about it and doesnt like talking about it. He should say its part of life and what made him.
The first time I've ever seen Khaled sweat. 9:50 Nardwuar broke him. Nardwuar played himself and got away with it. From now on it's serviette talk, not cloth talk. Sick video
Bro why was this so emotional to me? Like this is one of the most emotional interviews he’s done Bc of the way you can tell he made Dj Khalid feel and remember his past. Also, because of the way he FINALLY was giving Nardwuar his props and actually understanding what he’s doing for both the music industry and the ppl of the future!
"You getting deep man" "You getting deep, haha" "You ain't with the people right?" "You getting...hahaha You getting deep man" *Sweats intensely* "You know a lot" "I SAID YOU GETTING TOO DEEP" *Takes out Revolver* *Shoots up the room*
I have so much respect for Nardwuar and the way he interviews these artists. So many interviewers ask the same dull questions and u can tell the artist isn’t into it. Nardwuar makes every interview very personal to the artist and he’s interviewed some of the hardest people in the game. The man interviewed Kurt Cobain. The information this man has is incredible
Hell no breh he respected dj khaled way way way more than other greats like Nas and others he interviewd... It seems like Nardwuare genuinely respects DJ Khaled ecause he knows how hard hes worked to get where he is.. especially being arab, you dont get no handouts like the black and white dudes in the music industry just for your connections
The best part of all these interviews is that they genuinely like him, he's different, he's brave, he's painfully polite, and they know he has serious knowledge about the game. They genuinely enjoy his interviews only a few of these end up where the celebrity isn't feeling it, when that happens its chalked up to them being dicks tbh nard keep up the incredible interviews.
This definitely is going down as one of Nardwuar's best interviews for me. I think the chemistry here is amazing and Khaled is so receptive and real here. Loved it.
+Martie Mcfly No, he speaks it into existence. He went from being a nobody to having everyone scream when they see him. He said it and it happened. You're an idiot.
@@the-engneer Khaled is clearly a character lol,you can see it cause his acting skills are almost comical,it feels like you're watching a low budget movie
"The mitochondria - you know a lot - is the power house of the cell - You're in too deep! You know what I'm saying?" (Biology with DJ Khaled Chapter 1 Section 3 Pg. 473)
Very rare to hear Khalid actually have a serious conversation. Nardwuar is such an amazing interviewer. Always puts the individual on the spot, and gets behind their ego.
As much as ppl like to ridicule him, dude really came a long way and now is getting the exposure that I always felt he deserved. He has the respect from his peers, legends, and his city. That's really all you can ask for at the end of the day.
Khaled is actually a genius, he never acted as much of a completely overt baffoon until after "I've Changed" and all those promo videos made the rounds. Clearly he realized that was his public image, and instead of getting all butthurt or going back behind the shadows, he totally embraced it and owned it and even played it up more. Funny ass dude
You need to do part 2 on artists such as him, RZA, DMC, and DJ Premier, who have history and knowledge. I love the stories they give about the music and gifts you bring out and the questions you ask. Absolutely greay
I just cant hate Khaled, he's like a huge over grown baby. The way he talks and acts is just like a little kid who doesn't really know how the world works and just thinks everyone is happy and friendly all the time.
Going thru the nard rabbithole. Down to artists i dont know or didnt “like”. Khaled was actually impressive once he dropped the hard talk stuff, didnt get offended, and kept with the interview. Theres a chilled side to him cameras away no doubt 👌
I love when Nardwuar gets someone talking about something they love for a minute before they remember what Nardwuar looks like and how he acts and think, "whoa, this dude is bringing the fire".
@0:25 *"Don't ever play your-yourself"... I love how DJ Khaled sounded just like Dr. Steve Brule for a second. Haha, what a goofball! Super random, but I was at Guitar Center not that long ago and this guy was messing around on a keyboard with a microphone, and yelled through the mic, "DJ Khaled! We da best!" with heavy sarcasm -- I almost pooped my pants from laughing!*
