@@randywang3222 While she does need to do that (think nerves also played a part), the show obviously isn't about the voice. It's a popularity contest. There have been plenty of BW (and even some black girls) that should have won, based on their vocals (tone, range and things of this nature) -- but they lost to 15-year-old white kids that sang Country music and stuff. There have even been WM and WW that weren't technically great singers -- but they won, anyway.

I disagree with "so much control". Maybe the first half is perfect with her distinctive tone. She oversang in the second half and struggled a lot on those high notes, even the post-edition couldn't correct it well.

She definitely has potential and will be great when she gets some sessions with the coaches. There were a lot of tonal changes in her voice that stuck out a lot too much, the ascending parts of the chorus needed to be taken down to fit her voice (and preserve it long-term). I’m not a singer, but as an musician by hobby, I would have liked that to have heard that end run slowed down into a quick scale that resolved in her lower register (that part of her voice has a really nice tone) and then she would have room to breathe to do a quick slide to full belt to finish it off. Or a run, quick pause for dramatic effect and then end “way” in a soft tone to show she understands dynamics. She is still young and chose a demanding song, and I am hopeful the phrasing and control of dynamics will get better as she goes throughout the competition.

Wow that was incredible! She's a powerhouse vocalist! I love these types of artists every season! Her high notes were so perfect and flawless which was really pleasing to the ears. I freaking loved that! She could win the whole damn competition! Scratch that, she just won! She just won The Voice! See you in the finale NariYella! Amazing performance! Everything about the performance was perfect and flawless. There were exactly no mistakes at all. I have zero constructive criticisms to give her at all because she really proves she doesn't need it. Great support, power and projection. Great choices and arguably best stage presence. A little pitchy in some parts, but can def be ironed out with some minor corrections. Definitely a good spot to be in to have an impressive foundation AND room to take it to the next level. I think she should pick Kelly

Ok, let's first start with how she planted her feet on that stage. She was setting herself in rocket-mode and proceeded to take off like one too. She had full control and took the entire house DOWN! She CLEARLY did not come to play with these judges and wowed the crowd as well!
