Welcome to our new VLOG on here! Vlog 30!
Firstly let’s thank Max for your kind purchase of a coffee! Really appreciate it.
This week we show you the start of the Middlewich festival. Unfortunately we couldn’t walk far as I was on crutches so not much to see but you can gather how much we loved it as it was such a nice place.
Please note this stretch of water is very busy with holiday boaters so expect contact from experienced and learners as it’s busy.
You just visit The Big Lock pub in Middlewich. Great food and staff! The manager is superb!
We hope you enjoy Tony being part of the videos now...I'm delighted to share his wit with you all.

Hi Helen & Tony, See you managed to get the best spot, seconds from pub! And close to all the activity going on. Looked busy anyway. Hope captain Bruce was alright with all the goings-on. See Tony was helpful with the boaters. I'm a bit like that helping people, but some people do test your patience sometimes. And can be hard work!! Have a good week. x

Looks like you had a fabulous day with lovely weather. I am watching this vlog at 2 in the morning. We had a big earthquake today. House was shaking for about a minute. No damage here but scary. It was worse further north from where we are. I can't sleep for imagining more tremors. Have a great time and see you next week (hopefully). 🇵🇭

Love that cafe at Big Lock. Hope you tried the Kings Lock Chippy while you were there... Great fish chips and the best peas ever. Have you noticed I'm always talking about food 😂🤣😂

I am always impressed by how nicely turned out you are. Hair trim, nails done, lippy not smudged. How do you manage it Tony and doing all that helping out as well? What a guy. Helen, you have a hero looking after you. That looks like a nice mooring and your only a stones throw from the food and drink. It'll be great when the band starts, you must film a bit of it at the risk of upsetting face ache. That steak and chips looked tempting. Its always a good idea to have one square meal each day. I am just about ready to make mine... its oxo pobs. For those non-northern gongoozlers, that's oxo cube dissolved in boiling water and bread added. Preferably the crusts and if its stale its still OK. Mouldy bread isn't too great though. Feed that to the ducks. Oh but you shouldn't feed bread to ducks though according to the experts. The weather looks like it was kind. Hope it's not too warm for Brucie baby. I missed seeing him on this vlog. Anyway, enjoy the event and don't drink too much.

I’m just loving your vlogs. I’m watching several Narrowboat vlogs but yours are by far the best. We’re hoping to get a narrowboat ourselves and have booked a hire boat for a week in October to test the waters 😬 it’s the spiders that are the biggest worry for me though. We have two cars so run each other to places but as I’ve been unable to drive Tony has to walk back for it or we put one car where we are going to and then drive back for the other . 5 hours on a canal is only about 20 mins walk haha xxx

We have two but selling one soon, we either plan the route so take one forward and run the other back or we sail 4 miles and Tony walks back for it - takes about 30 mins x
