Welcome to our channel! We are Helen , Tony and Captain Bruce and we are taking you on our travels on our narrowboat Forget Me Not and also off the boat around the uk and abroad! We are selling our hand made craft wares from the boat too which helps us raise money for dementia charities. Watch us sail away...and have a chuckle whilst you are at it!
Hi Tony, Really enjoying your channel. I looked for the ecoflow follow up, where you mentioned you were going to see how the battery performed with a solar to charge it? How did it go? Really interested as I'm looking at boatlife and van life! But work on the comp at home! 😊, just interested if it's an option. Thanks Both for your fab vlogs.
Aww thank you - we are fine - lots going on and I’m having another op in two days so won’t be able to walk again. We are going to do a vlog very very soon xxx thank you xxxx
No matter where you go you will always find a moron spoiling people’s enjoyment.Really enjoyed watching your video boat life looks great.carry on doing these great videos and bringing enjoyment to those of us whe get pleasure from hearing about your experience on the wiver reaver x
Saw a big barge exactly like that near Saltersford Locks a couple of days ago, it was right across the river think it had broken its mooring on one side, looks like they have been dredging in the area. Loving the vlogs on the Weaver, I live not far from the Weaver, not the navigable end but do love the walks from Vale Royal through to Dutton Locks along The Weaver Way. 🙂
I'm very sad you had a bad experience in Northwich. We have a boat on the Weaver and travel up and down regularly. We moor up often in town and have never experienced anything like this ever. There are wonderful places for dog walking locally too. Trust me, I do it often enough. A snapshot view is what you had and I hope it doesn't put other travellers off. Having lived in this area for many years I feel really sad that this was your experience. Northwich and the surrounding area is a wonderful place to live
They had no choice as they would have been stuck on the river still with the lift being closed. The couple had to leave the boat on the river until we weee escorted off.The company had to sail it off though - not the holiday couple. 3 of them came ok board
@@NorthernNarrowboaters Ah right. That makes sense. Week after next I am going on a Canal boat holiday (my 6th, I think) with my parents from Acton Bridge to Chester.
P.s yes Helen I'm a new subscriber, I'm so sad, & sorry that I didn't follow you earlier, well it was my dear hubbie that shared link. So yeah I'm new to this. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

That is such a brilliant phrase "I got done". I haven't heard it for ages! They just don't say that here in the wastelands of Derbyshire. Makes me want to go home! 😂
I can't really imagine people not liking you. You're so natural and, dare I say it normal! I've only just discovered you guys thanks to Heidi the Narrowboat Pirate and I'm bingeing from vlog 1. You're great and Tony the Eminence Grise in the background make a great team supported ably of course by the Captain. I'm really looking forward to the rest of these! 😁
Nice to see you at the helm Helen and Tony did a good job with the camera. Omg I couldn’t believe that they hit you! I bet you were absolutely furious and I wouldn’t blame you! 😮
Hi Guys Really enjoying your vlogs on your adventures. I live in Northwich and have done for the last 66yrs, Unfortunately. So upset to hear about the yobs you spoke of, just takes 1 or 2, to give a place a bad name. Anyway on a better subject, keep those blogs a coming. Be safe and take care.
Aww thank you. We actually went back and loved it . Just wrong time and place isn’t it. The police told us they were having problems with one lad and he was causing upset all over the place. But we loved it and stayed in the weaver xx thank you xxx
Awww I’m sorry I’ve only just seen this message. It’s not showing up on messages and just saw that I had a few. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch xx helen xx
"I need to move my flaps" sounds rude that does. It cracked me up nearly spilled my coffee all over myself lol 😂, hope you're doing well, I need to catch up in your videos, I went away to mum n dads for a week then been poorly so need to find out what you been up to.
The access is stranger!!!!! Even more bazaar is the website of the Inland Waterways Association which is advertising a walk on Saturday 11th March 2023. The walk ‘Tarleton and River Douglas Walk’. Starting from the bottom of Plocks Brow, that’s the area where waiting moorings are for Ribble Link are, from there along a new way marked route and joining the new Henry Alty Way promenade, it’s just the other side of the gate you referred to. This Alty Way is planned to go to the end of the branch at Burscough. Mind you Tarleton and Hesketh Bank does have it’s more than it’s fair share of odd bods
It’s bizarre isn’t it . You eventually get to a metal gate you walk through and apparently that’s the tow path again . It’s a confusing. The signs say no entry for vehicles.

Thanks for taking us along on this great adventure, it's good to see that you are both well and I hope that Captain Bruce is doing well also. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Thanks for this lovely adventure and great update. The bread looked fantastic, I'm not surprised that you 'Wiganers' couldn't pronounce it's name as you'd have thought it was an Italian pie, lol. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Thanks for another great video, I have started watching from Vlog 1 and now I am so relieved to get to 14 and you three getting out of the marina, and onto the Rufford branch to start your adventure properly. Helens commentary makes these vlogs interesting as well as amusing. I hope you manage to sell the scaffolding pole.
I’m so looking forward to your Ribble Link vlog. Those locks look massive. I’m not a morning person myself so can see me staying in bed a little longer once I’m on my boat 😘 x
🤣🤣 😍Hi Helen, and Tony, I always look forward to your vlogs. love your humour, it makes me smile. Tony maybe get an alarm for Helen with the voice of Ruth Maddock from Heidi Hi. 🤣 I'm now looking forward to your journey on lancaster canal, more antics and plenty laughs. Give Brucy a big hug. ❤
Morning Helen, Hope you’re all well. Interesting vlog on the locks etc at Preston, and they look a bit daunting. Looking forward to your journey from Tarleton to the Lancaster canal! Have a good week. X
