We continue to travel the south of England on our floating home, down the River Wey. This time we make it to Guildford, an English town with fields, a bustling centre, and most importantly, boating friends 🤗🌳

i wish we had canals that you could navigate through Australia it would be so awesome guys. The Murray River that runs through victoria small part of NsW and South Australia we can do things like this and people do on big houseboats. but you cant really branch of and explore different areas like you can in england etc. just put another shrimp on the barbie hey mate. So jealous of the lifestyle you guys have , your home can change views anytime you guys want it too.. enjoy guys

Good old bag foot. We do that on the bike on cold and rainy days when we don't want our feet soaked from the outside. The drawback is that it gets a bit... muggy in the shoe.

Nothing worse than rising damp in one sock ,l’ve used carrier bags in my wellies but the result is always the same 😂Rufus seemed to have an affinity with those white cows,like my black and white horse did with Fresians😂

Hehe, it was my friend who moved at 0830 in the morning so you were able to move to the wharf. It’s a fab place isn’t it! I totally missed the white hats when we went in the barge - happily I didn’t hit my head. Summer seems so long ago now - hope you’re with friends somewhere else now.

As much as I like myself a little char.... lol... could I suggest either a copper grilling mat or some good 'ol aluminum cooking tin foil sheet... prevent flare ups and save you some cash on... I'm Sur already expensive vegan meat... I love you guys... I really want to be right there with you... I use both on my gas bbq and my wood burning dyi ✌P.S. second round looked amazing! 🥳

We have a friend who does a Ghost Tour in Guildford. He also does Jack the Ripper tours in London as well. Guildford Castle and its grounds are fabulous. I actually used photos from our day there for the back cover of one of my albums. The whole area of the High Street was just amazing. I was sad when it was time for us to take the train back to Gatwick for our flight home to the US. But we did get to see Guildford, Bristol, Cheddar, Glastonbury, and renew our wedding vows in a village called Wick on a beautiful estate owned by an artist couple, just outside the village.

Hi enjoying your videos, as Ive just started my narrowboat adventures could you please explain that trick you did in the lock tieing the rear line to the yellow ring as Im having problems with my boat getting battered when going up locks, how long did it take before your dog was comfortable going up and down locks mine seems to get scared when I put the boat into reverse.

Firstly, thank you and welcome to the water! 🥳😊 The yellow pegs are only a thing on the locks on the river wey, we haven't seen them on any other canal unfortunately! So you probably wont be able to try it on normal locks. But a tip is if its a wide lock, to open the paddle that the boat is on first, as this helps to pin it against the walls as the lock fills. For the dog, id just say lots of treats during cruises to make it as positive of an experience as possible. They will hopefully soon get used to it and start associating cruising with being a good time! 😊 good luck with everything and have fun!
