This week’s video sees us continuing from Great Haywood. We cruise our NARROWBOAT floating home through various locks and onto Fradley Junction. We pass through Armitage Tunnel, with no roof, and also the Armitage Shanks buildings. We end up cruising in the rain yet again lol.

Totally agree, HS2 is a waste of our money. We spent 4 months in Great Haywood Marina and they are going to lose land for a 100ft high monstrosity going over the canal because of this!

Great vlog good to see Braunston again a while since we been down there. I am not a fan of tunnels meeting oncoming boats a challenge and as you say distance is vertually impossible

Lovely!! Excuse my ignorance,but do you drink that water in the tank,or have you got a separate drinking water supply?

Hi Jim, thank you! Yes, we do drink the water, we have a 680 litre stainless steel water tank that we were filling up. We have an in-line water filter, we can drink straight from the tap as we’re constantly using the water so it doesn’t go stale. However, we also fitted an inline filter under the kitchen sink just to be super safe lol. Thanks! xx

I’m going to be controversial but I’m totally in favour of HS2 I would like it to to Scotland too I’m certain people campaigned against the canals in the 1700’s

Hi David, at the end of the day, there are probably millions of people that are looking forward to this being completed, if we all liked and wanted the same things then life would be pretty dull. For us, it seems a blot on the landscape as we live on the canals and prefer the rural countryside views and sounds, but for commuters I would imagine this is an exciting prospect. You’re probably right re the canals too lol. Thank you so much for watching our videos, it’s lovely to have you with us xx
