It might sound weird that Kaguya managed to do that to Isshiki before she ate the fruit of the divine tree. It's the perfect strategy though. The upper Otsusuki would never expect their subordinates to betray them and as an Otsusuki Kaguya is strong enough to do serious damage to another unsuspecting Otsusuki that we know of. Isshiki was so cocky and comfortable with his position of power. It's just like Madara's downfall

Momoshiki is definitely stronger than Kaguya. Keep in mind Momo was the top-ranked that was supposed to eat the fruit, while Kaguya was just supposed to be fruit free fodder for Isshiki. I still don't think we've seen Momoshiki's full power considering that he first appeared in the movie, before Isshiki was even a thought in the writers' minds, so ofc they'd have to downplay him in the anime/manga to match the movie unless they wanted to retcon that ENTIRE fight. Even if Momoshiki is weaker than Isshiki, Borushiki will eventually stomp Kawaki. Kawaki just has borrowed power from Isshiki and a ninja tool body with insignificant ninjutsu and he ends up imprisoning his only ninjutsu teacher. Boruto meanwhile has his own power, which is constantly growing, and Momoshiki's power on top, plus Momoshiki has access to all that as well if he ever comes out again in Two Blue Vortex. And considering that Isshiki and Momoshiki will never fight now, Borushiki vs Kawaki is the only convo that really matters.
