Naruto defeated Pain and returns to the village. Naruto goes to Hinata and thanks her for fighting Pain. This video was inspired by a sketch from Sekibeing, current animator of the boruto series.

Autornote: I personally think it would have been better if Naruto and Hinata had a small interaction like this after the Pain fight. Oh and also this is not a next part of the Sakuras Death AU!!! since some people seem to be confused.

yeah I´ll never get it.. like I understand that the anime isn´t about romance but at least a small interaction after the pain arc wouldn´t have hurt

I love this. That scene has bugged me since the day the chapter dropped. If there was anyone who should have been the one hugging Naruto, it was Hinata. Tbh I don't care if Kishimoto wanted to wait for these two to hook up, but he should have at least gave her this win for all she did for him. It would have allowed them to grow closer more naturally and would have allowed for a smoother relationship progression to The Last. It works for Sakura's storyline too. With the revelation that Sasuke is now an S Class Criminal, Naruto moving on would create a feeling of loneliness and uncertainty in Sakura. That would make her confession to him seem more like its out of desperation instead of thoughtlessness and give Naruto a perfect chance to get over his feelings for her and make the clean break he needed to be strictly friends with her. Idk it always bugged me how shoehorned the whole things is. Just change a few things and the story flows so much better.

right? such a missed opportunity. this could have been the start of developing their relationship. but noo not a single interaction after this and then boom they´re married, like what? I love them and they make such a good couple but they hadn´t any development at all. ( yes I´ve seen the last) without the movie i wouldn´t accept their relationship but the movie made up for it. just saying it could have be done so much better...

This should have actually happened in the anime. Kishimoto making Naruto not acknowledge Hinata's confession was a really stupid decision.

@@simwin4494 Yh exactly and their relationship is more disappointing in Boruto cause Hinata is literally an NPC in the show and they’re non-existent like we don’t even see them talk and literally what’s more weird is we never see Hinatas opinions of Naruto losing Kurama and almost dying boruto having an alien stuck inside him and Naruto sending a clone to his daughters birthday which was so out of character for Naruto like I’m not even saying make for Hinata to like be in every episode or chapter but just make her more relevant is all I’m saying cause it’s weird how the MCs wife don’t know what’s going on

@@Omen_Rocks123 yea and the fact they made her just a housewife while literally everyone else also has kids and still manage to have a job plus being a shinobi. so weird, especially since shes a hyuga. there were so many options for hinata to shine but kishimoto/ikemoto said nope. such a shame, i really like hinata

I missed this part a lot, because it was not like Naruto to ignore a person who risked her life for him, whether he loves her or not. This should have been included in the Anime. Looks like Naruto fans are better at this than his original creators.

I get that Kishi is uncomfortable with Romance but by the time the pain arc came around he already decided they were gonna be together in the end. I just don’t get how there wasn’t a scene like this. I feel Something Similar to this wouldn’t of killed Kishi. Great work on this.

Kishi such a troll he literally never shows the end couples together in his final chapter like their in seperate pages and timeskips to boruto for marketing purposes as told by the studio and to take a break cause he was long done as the show had taken his freedom and passion out of the show...

What's sad is you can make the scene extra cute by having naruto come rushing in looking for hinata as he avoids the kids and praise coming his way at the time then asking Sakura who walks up to him in the middle hits him blaming him for gettint hinata hurt then pointing to where she is standing in the back so he can go say thanks

This is totally what should have happened after the battle with Pain. Despite how much I love Kishimoto and the Naruto series in general, I just cannot stand how poorly they handle some romantic relationships, with NaruHina being the prime example; even though the core of this ship is MC! NH have so much potential that has never been fully utilised throughout the whole manga.
