This and rise of a ninja had the best exploration, I would just spend hours doing that alone.

@@FTIBug yeah you got that right! But I think I liked playing broken bond more than rise of a ninja because in rise of a ninja the graphics hurt my eyes :( well besides that tbb and ron are still my favorite naruto games to play every now and then :)

it’s canon, they were on a mission and sasuke was knocked out just after he saw naruto using rasengan for the first time. then he woke up and they fought because he didn’t wanna feel inferior

One thing that this game could have used was the character models and better animstion of Ultimate Ninja Storm. But the environments and stuff look way better in this game.

A matter of taste, since each one has its pros and cons, and *disparaging this game just for its animations, without considering its highlights, would be very subjective* 🤔. Also, you must remember that *the Ubisoft saga ("Rise of a Ninja" and "The Broken Bond") are non-japanese adventure games with some fighting elements,* while "Gekitou Ninja Taisen" and "Ultimate Ninja Storm" are *japanese fighting games* (with some little elements of adventure in the case of UNS). Below I will make a comparison of the remarkable elements of each one. 💁🏻‍♂️ Leaving aside the animations (since it's obvious that Ubisoft Montreal wasn't as good at mimicking the anime animation style as the Japanese developers), *Gekitou Ninja Taisen has better 2.5D fighting mechanics* than The Broken Bond, but *GNT games have very simple and poor story modes told just by dialog boxes,* and only one of them (I think it's GNT Special) has scenarios to go through that I don't know if I can consider them as "exploration" because of how small, simple, and closed they are 🤷🏻‍♂️, while *The Broken Bond has very remarkable elements of exploration and adventure* in a story mode that *recreates the story in detail (with the anime OST) from the death of the third Hokage to when Naruto leaves with Jiraiya* (the other first part is covered by Rise of a Ninja), so its strong point is in those elements, but not in the animations and not so much in the fighting mechanics (it's not that they're bad either). 💁🏻‍♂️ On the other hand, *animation and art style of the first UNS game (the game that covered kid Naruto story) was a visual delight, but it only focused on its fighting mode,* since *its story mode is very poor* (and the recreation of Konoha is very flat and low on details), as it only gives you a small summary of some parts of the story before each fight (they didn't even recreate the hospital rooftop for the Naruto vs Sasuke fight, and just put them to fight on a field stage 🤦🏻‍♂️; and the worst thing is that flashbacks in later UNS games also show them fighting on the field instead of the rooftop 🙄), and a few small cutscenes in the few boss battles it had. While *from UNS 2 onwards, that saga had a very good story mode too,* with so detailed recreations of memorable scenes that are a visual delight and tells you most of the important parts of the story 👌🏻, *but it still lacks elements of exploration and adventure on the same level as what "Rise of a Ninja" and "The Broken Bond" offer.* 🤷🏻‍♂️ In conclusion, as I said at the beginning, each one has its pros and cons, and it's just a matter of taste if you don't like any of them.
