I've been a fan of Nas forever. Seriously I'm in my 50s this dude has to be nearly as old as me. Illmatic will forever be one of the greatest rap albums of all time. Glad to see he's doing well.

On my first ever visit to the US (from Nigeria), I had no interest in seeing landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and the likes. The one place on my mind was Queens Bridge, brought to international limelight by Nas. And boy did I get on the train and explore QB on a wet morning. I still revel from the experience. The Hip Hop Museum is a great idea. There should be Hip Hop tours to historic Hip Hop sites too.

I was introduced to Hip-Hop with Mos Def and Talib Kweli but when i discovered QB's finest, the Don, Nasty Nas, Nasir Jones himself, i was completely blown away. Lyricism, story-telling poetry in motion, he became my all-time favorite artist.

My husband knew Nas at age 14 he lived in the Notorious Queensbridge projects 40-15 Vernon blvd he is older than Nas play basketball with his brother and knew all his friends Trevor Troy Chongo and others my husband worked for Con Ed at the time

I'm not a Hip Hop fan, never was, and probably will never be. But I have serious respect for Nas; perhaps the only living rapper that I truly respect. His music has always been meaningful, deep, real and relevant to real life.

Respect. I believe you should listen to Kendrick Lamar, specifically To Pimp a Butterfly, who also holds his music to the same weight and relevancy as Nas. Will show you there are several great men like Nas in the genre, some still putting out stuff today.
