This album is incredible. Idk what’s up w people’s ears. I will say this, it takes a good 2-3 listens to appreciate it. The first time I didn’t LOVE it. Now I absolutely LOVE this album. Nas is on an unprecedented run. This has never been done before.

I like Magic 2 more than Magic. If I have to rate it right now, I'd say that KD3 is still the best out of the 5, but then Magic 2 is second, Magic 3rd, KD2 4th and KD 5th. I listened to this in the car about 5 times today already as I had a long drive, and I like every single song on this album.

Magic 1 was rare like illmatic was. And Magic 2 is more refined as far as songs go like It was Written was. Perfectly said..it will be received how it was written after illmatic..just gonna take some more time will Magic 2 than instantly loving Magic 1.

Abracadabra, Black Magic, Motion, Bokeem are perfection. I wanted the rest of the album to continue that feeling. Office Hours, Erving, WTARM, Slow it Down, Pistols are very good but a bit more standard Nas/HB offering - not in a bad way but I can fit these in some of their other albums while the 4 above sound unique enough to carry on their own, had me stankfacing all through. I wanted the more unique dark mysterious sht I got from the first half of the album. Overall 8.5.

More than any other rapper that’s ever lived Nas first album is a gift and a curse to him. People won’t allow him to grow out of that realm even though he’s a damn near 50 year old man and that album was written between the ages of 17-20 smh with that said, this is another great album that ventured into another chamber (as the Wu would say)just take it for what it is.
