NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, is the United States government agency responsible for the nation’s civilian space program and for aeronautics and aerospace research. Established in 1958, NASA has been at the forefront of space exploration, scientific discovery, and technological innovation. Some of its most notable achievements include the Apollo moon landings, the Mars rover missions, and the development of the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station (ISS). NASA continues to pursue ambitious goals, such as returning humans to the Moon through the Artemis program and planning for future human missions to Mars.
