I’m 2011 NASCAR came to Road America for the second year in a row with the then named NASCAR Nationwide Series. At the time the track was not a proven commodity for NASCAR so the race had to deliver, well it did in stunning and bizarre fashion. This is NASCAR’s most bizarre race at Road America.

Some rumors I've read involved his teammate Justin Allgaier, after they had a wreck together a week or two beforehand. The rumors range from Allgaier wanting Turner Scott to fire Sorenson because of it, to Sorenson himself getting heated with management over Allgaier.
