the game HUD could use a spedometer even if the game devs made the game rather useless in terms of the turns because this game is technically straight away races with tracks that do twist and turn but most likely do not affect the handling much/
It's a flawed game. The physics are horrible, the cars feel like they're made of plastic, but for all its flaws I'm having fun with it. So many fun games have big flaws and that kind of adds to their charm. It certainly is arcady. Reminds me alot of Cruisn Blast gameplay wise but with worse handling and generic courses. What IS stopping me having fun though is the lack of courses. Lacking content is always a no no.
Agree there, as I think in racing games today, you need at least a minimum of 20 or so tracks for a bit of longevity. I like that arcade handling though, despite not needing any skill for it. Like you say, we need that simple exhilaration. 😁
Lol, that's a good description for it. They could've done so much more with the arcade handling - like more drifting, braking, gameplay challenge. As it stands, it's just push & go! 😬
Tbh i expected more from a Nascar arcade game, considering the other one we had was "Nascar Rumble" which literally had a narrator, power ups and traps that made the gameplay ACTUALLY CHALLENGING
I have that one - I think I mentioned it in my review - & you're right, it's better than this one: more challenging, more tracks, & great visuals for the PS1 at the time. 😁🎮❤️
Hello there, good question - not sure, but usually new driving games are. I never check myself, as I don't have a wheel. I imagine google would tell us. 🙂
@@gamerslounge67 What bums me out is there is really no feeling of the cars weight. And I also feel like I'm constantly riding the walls in this game. It just doesn't feel like a well polished game.
@robertgodlewski8553 I totally get that. I guess the devs just wanted an arcade experience rather than a sim type game. But you're absolutely right about the cars' weight, though. 🙂
Good question; not sure, but I doubt it'd handle well with a wheel in its current state due to the almost complete lack of needing to ever brake. I think investing in a wheel for a short-lived experience, if you don't own a wheel, is not worth it when there are much better racers - both sim & arcade - available to enjoy. 🙂🎮
Glad to see another Nascar game but There's better arcade games out there. Hot Wheels 2 drops soon, NFS, Lego 2k drive . Etc etc . This isn't what Nascar needs as there's already a healthy arcade market for racing games
