18 years of watching this sport, this is by far the most insane race I ever seen. That and the 2019 fall Talladega race. Im so glad I got 2 new fans watching this race since Ive been bugging them to watch this race and they would always not want to or miss out. Now they witnessed that with me
Lmao what? 2007 Daytona 500, 2012 Talladega fall race, 2010 Daytona 500. All more "insane" than this. Not saying the race was bad or anything, and it certainly did not lack excitement, but yea there's been crazier.
Regardless of what we say about the playoffs and the “Mickey Mouse” part of this win, let’s all gather round and agree Leigh Diffey was a barnstormer tonight with his commentary.
The TV happened to broadcast this race, so I watched Nascar for the 1st time as a F1 fan, and this race is amazing. Congrats to Barton for winning, and I feel sorry for No.4 for flipping ❤
Absolutely legendary call to the finish by Diffey, an absolute treat to listen to. I think I’ve replayed that last lap over ten times just to hear that call!
The most heartbreaking finish as a Kyle Busch fan, avoiding every single big one, doing the impossible, leading overtime into the final turn, to just falling short again like last year, I am proud of KB for not wrecking burton when he easily could have. And shoutout burton for the win

But why? He did fantastic job with Olympics I get that, but I feel he should have been quiet on last half lap and let Jeff call the race. That would have been better
@@yancyjenkinssr1824 no, Jeff sucks. He is not a good play by play announcer. i don't mind him being part of the team with all the hate he gets. But he wouldn't have added anything nor would it be anywhere as good as what Leigh did on the last few laps.

Great for Harrison Burton and Wood Brothers but this proves that there is something wrong in the playoffs format. it's incredible that the last full-time driver in the standings will be in the playoffs just because he won a wild race.
@@lightfeather9953 If I'm being honest, I mainly only watch NASCAR for the racing product at this point, not for the playoffs. If NASCAR was like F1 with their racing product, I probably would have stopped watching.
Standing at the finish line a winner of a race at Daytona, in the Cup series, checkered flag in one hand and your girl in the other? That's going to be a good Monday at the office!
Not saying he doesn't deserve a win, but he didn't deserve that win...if KB doesn't lift, the 21 gets spun! Plus it's another wasted spot in the playoffs...the 21 and Burton hasn't done anything impressive all season. He'll be out after round 1, and screwed over someone that deserves to be in the playoffs
It was inevitable people would hate on Leigh Diffey based on his accent. The amount of people online calling an Australian man with an American citizenship WHO HAS CALLED NASCAR RACES BEFORE "some British guy" is laughable. A guy from Mexico and a guy from New Zealand have won NASCAR races this year. Racing is for everyone, and so is it's commentary booth. If you don't like it, shut up and listen to MRN.
Heck of a race I watched! Tons of action, great racing and just pure fun out there. And an underdog winner as well. Easily my favorite race of this season in 2024
Kyle’s not one of my favourites but I still really like him (and I’ve even met him before and he was hella nice) and I was rooting for him on that last lap
Best season since 2011. Leigh Diffy with an all time iconic call during the last lap there as well. Possibly also the best next gen superspeedway race, even with all the wrecks.
This race had my heart racing the whole time! 🎉 Kudos to Harrison for his first win, that comeback is the stuff legends are made of. Also, did anyone else think that fire on Suarez's car was a little too dramatic? 😂🔥 Can't wait to see how the rest of the season plays out! 🏁
