Ibrahim Hasan Murad, President of the University of Management and Technology, in Lahore, is also a Pakistani educationist, philanthropist and technocrat. He is known to have served as a provincial minister in the caretaker government of Punjab, Pakistan.
Born in Karachi, he shifted to Lahore in the 90s and completed his initial schooling from there. He graduated from Choueifat, after attending Bloomfields, run by Angelina Williams. From there, he then shifted to Canada, continuing his studies and making a living out of it. He has always been a passionate student with the courage and drive to learn more. He was a highly exceptional student, especially in his educational studies. With an ever-growing passion of sports, he was Captain of the Cricket and Football team, took part in swimming, gymnastics, tennis and horse riding. His mother was a doctor and played a crucial role in his upbringing, along with giving active Da’awahs related to Islam and Quran.
In summers, he used to work in organizations headed by his father. He belongs to a religious family, his grandfather being an Islamic Scholar, his father being very religious and his mother giving active Da'awahs and lectures about the Quran. His father and grandfather were the biggest role models in his life, being as a guiding light for him. His paternal grandfather was one of the top-most engineers, and worked on the largest infrastructure project, in Bangladesh, and Iran. He headed the extension of the Haram in Saudia Arabia, retiring at the age of 40 and turning his attention towards Islam and spreading ilm through booklets, and Daawat-o-Tarbiyat. He also founded and established an Islamic foundation in London to spread ilm through the West where it was much needed. Apart from that, he is also responsible in the making of the Muslims of Britain and participated in many other foreign affairs, contributing a lot and being a heavily guided light for Ibrahim Hassan Murad.
