Issues lol that's an understatement, 6 months iv been wanting, and still no news of when, so I cancelled my order. I can't wait forever I need to go fishing now, not later. Camo xl pro hide...... is hiding
Great review mate off the back of this I’ve just ordered the NASH HIDE XL, PRO CAMO as I’m looking for a tad more room so now I have to wait till mid July for it well done mate
Great video mate really well done out review, tbh tho I think I can get my Trakker advanced 100 bivvy up quicker than this plus I like the fact you get everything with it instead of paying out for extras, I think nash should just sell them as a package aswell as just on its own
Thanks Richard and cheers for watching Well my trakker advanced defo is quick and has been my choice for the last year or so of main shelter. I’m hoping a few more gos at this and becomes just as quick for going up for me 👍. Yeah I’m also surprised companies ain’t offering 2 packages like you say a complete package or bare bones package.
Nice review mate, I’ve always been a fan of the Titans in fact I’ve still got and still use the original viper, but was thinking of upgrading as it’s getting a little worn now, but it is 20 years old I believe. More reviews would be great on other items of Tackle.
Great review buddy I have the hide myself and found the pole joints and material hoops relax a bit after a couple of sessions but I can't fault the quality fella.
Good honest review bud, thanks. I'm getting the XL version but gotta wait til January apparently due to supply issues. Your review has made me confident it's worth waiting for 👍
Hi CC good honest review well done..Certainly a nice bit of kit..Shame groundsheet is extra as infills sure does ramp up the price from £300 to £520 ouch!!..Camo is one of the best I've seen espically the vents..Have subscribed & liked look forward to your next vlog until then stay safe/well............LC
Just bought one, been looking for a new bivvy for years now quite liked the old hide but didn't like the material. With the up grades this bivvy looks great not yet been out in it or set it up properly. Looking forward to trying it over the Xmas break
Got the hide pro the fabric on the front arms as you put it up puts mega strain on the fabric loops I’ve found but as you I’ve only put it up once 👍 spoke to nash they said wet the bivvy let it dry then pack it up and try again that helps loosening the fabric 😬 hope it helps
@@generalmanager384 typical lol I have waited nearly three months to get the front and groundsheet but things seen to have started moving now so fingers crossed for you mate another handy tip is you can set to be notified when stock comes in on most Web sites and shopping sites e Bay etc awesome shelter mate you won't be disappointed 😀
Thanks for watching mate, yeah they should really in my opinion have offered 2 options a bare bones and a complete but I guess where’s the money in that 😂
Only thing I would like to of seen on this is a two zip infill.as the door looks quite narrow it would of been nice to be able to unzip the infill halfway so you get a better view without taking the front off
The xl will definitely give you more headroom as well so that’s a win win! I chose the standard for certain swims that don’t have a lot of width on my syndicate 👍 Thanks for watching :)
There not doing a winter skin they say u don't need it due to it having Vapour shield inside also I believe its 8000hh instead of 5000hh like the first titan hide. I bought the first one in xl size so I got the Vapour shield inside and it does stop a lot of condensation drip
To me it’s a glorious shelter! What would I change in the design? I would delete the lateral vents, 2 on the rear are enough. The inside pockets i’m guessing can be disconnected from theyr’s slot. I would not use them... so they should had let them be as an accessory! Not like the front panel that to me should be mandatory in the kit! That central tensioning pole on the top is one I’m sure is easy to be lost or ending to be unused. And I would had made it normal green with the aqua sense material. I do have the hide and the hide xl and I do not undestand much this features... maybe because here on the continent we do not deal so much with rainy days?
Hi , yeah the inside pockets just use toggles to secure! So can come out very easy. The tension pole definately needed here in U.K. as we get so much rain 😂. The colour thing I’m sure would just be personal preference ... like me I like this Camo but I’m not so sold on dpm camo .. Thanks for watching
Nash say don’t need winter skin cos of the inner roof lining. I guess if the demand this there they will make one. Good review and not by a shop or Nash consultant.
Good review mate just a quick question what's the viewing like from sat on the bedchair I have one order and I have to old nash hide at the mo hoping they have improved the viewing because the old hide is a back beaker.
Thank you mate. I found no restriction on viewing out from sitting in bed mate at all and I’m 6-1 .. I have a friend who was also concerned on this but sitting up right I could see out fully to watch water... Hope this helps 👍
A great review buddy I have just ordered the next one up from the one you reviewed, from nash themselves there is no need for an overwrap for the camo pro and the camo pro xl as the hydrostatic head is good enough. Can you tell me if you can have the vents open from the bottom only so you just have a gap at the bottom of the vents ty
Thanks mate …. You could but would have to find something to support the hold like an extension of some sort as the toggles holding the material up are at the top of the panels 👍
The first hide xl was very tight around the top it feels like it was going to rip everything time I put it up but it does give a little bit after some use in the sun & rain👍🏻 not sure if the stitching will last in those areas tbh but time will tell I guess.. 😬
If it had an option for an inner capsule, the xl would be mine. Now still thinking of trakker bivvy 100 advanced. But that will cost me 1000 euro, which is insane. Thank god everything is out of stock atm haha. Cause i am still not sure yet. Next year spring i want it. So have some time.
Great reviews , I have a question though , the bar that goes on to the peak of the shelter has a clip in the middle , does that come with the bar it's self ??? I'm only asking as I have the standard hide an I was wondering if it would fit
Hi bud with the mozzy mesh on can you put the infill panel on at the same time so both are on also with the infill panel can you pack that away as you have a piece of metal or something in the bottom of infill cheers
Hi robin thanks for watching , I have a review update I’m doing for this sorry delay but with Christmas and the state of things with COVID I have not been fishing , which is horrible as my fave time of year. But all I will say is it is a great bit of kit but it has not come with out it’s faults ....review update should be live next week
I have one on order, they should be hitting the shops very soon. However, I’m torn between this and the tempest brolly 100 EV. Height is not a factor, which one would you go for?
Hi thinking about purchasing this brolly but also thinking of purchasing he trakker advanced 100 brolly what's your opinion on both such as internal space and height. Height is more the factor for me as I use the ss4 standard bed chair would much appreciate your opinion on this thanks
I have both! Go for the trakker advanced. They both have pros and cons. The hide pro lighter! Build feels better quality on the trakker. Material for me , the advanced feels thicker and more durable , although the camo pro is pretty 😂. Space trakker 100 brolly wins, feels a lot bigger when you in there. Overal from having had both , trakker 100 brolly better 👌 Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching. The view room is actually good to be honest was a concern for me originally as I’m a tall guy but that is actually one of my plus points on it now , I have a review update coming which will shock some. Taken a while as not been dangling as let’s face it been a couple of crappy months .
Depends what bedchair you've got... my solar one is quite high off the ground so it is a pain to look out without putting ya head down which gave me a back ache but now use my Avid bedchair which is alot lower so no problems.
Great review mate, my question is, the width of this on paper is literally 30cm shorter than the tempest 100. If I don't have my trakker bedchair more in the middle of my brolly on t he e tempest it touches the back edges. How come yours isn't touching each side on the hide?
Hi mate sorry delay , I have the tempest as well and my bed don’t touch back on that either. Maybe just I have a lot narrower bed chair that is the oval standard bed. Hope this helps
@@cloudy_carper9149 ok mate thanks for the reply. The door opening looks quite low compared to a tempest. Do you have to bend your neck to look out? I'm 6ft 3 and just manage with a tempest.
For me mate I would say tempest about same result ... I’m 6.1 and about same for me both for the crouch to stand situation. Unlike my atom where I’m actually leaving lake with my neck wrecked and stuck to my chest for 2 days after 🤪
Thanks for watching :) yeah that will defo be the more popular I think due to extra height and space. For me I needed it for tighter swims so this one was correct choice for me. 👌🤞
I keep my mozi panel on religiously and noticed when it rains it sprays in the bivvy off the panel. Had a heavy downpour (no wind) and had to move everything under my bedchair as was getting soaked inside a good 18 inches in. Why have they tapered the front so at the bottom its at a stupid angle? Keep it straight and be fine... guessing to gain more floor space but no good if when it rains it gets wet! Anyone else experienced anything like that?
Well , I been thinking about this 😂... on first impressions getting this out there is a lot going for it. Weight is a lot lighter then the advanced brolly. Space seems to be pretty much on par for both. Height - tempest is definitely taller. Ease of set up is about the same for me I would say. So on first impressions I’m gonna say the tempest advanced has edge if you don’t mind the little extra weight and height more important to you. But if height not a factor go with the hide for the snazzy look, less weight and I must say the material is high quality and defo feels higher spec then on my tempest brolly advanced. These are my findings anyway and I hope this helps. Thanks for watching :)
Well I had the standard oval bedchair in mine for review with a 92cm width at furthest point and the nash ss4 standard shows as 78cm so looks like with that would also have plenty of room 👍 going of the specs. So looks like be shweet.
@@cloudy_carper9149 Great video! I've also got an SS4 wide and I'm 6ft 2. The legs are longer than most chairs at 40cm standard. Will viewing still be okay at this higher height??
Just wondering mate, I’ve ordered one of these and noticed you said there’s some issues with getting them in? Originally they said end of November time, any ideas on time scales from what you’ve heard?
A very good review, but one thing i hate about these type of hides ect why do they make you pay for all the extras, why not throw in the ground sheet and in fill panel, total rip off.
Hi ray thanks for the great feed back and watching the review. It seems to be the thing now don’t it. Bivvy seperate cost to the rest and all these extras. Seems most of the big brands do this now. There’s still a few companies selling complete packages but yeah I fully see your point and why it’s frustrating.
@@cloudy_carper9149 Cheers, I am sure that if they kept the prices lower, or throw in a few extras they would poss sell more. The next thing you know they will be making you pay extra for the pegs?
Good review but I've got the hide xl wich is much bigger than this for 249 overwrap was 149,this product is Very overpriced and it's a shelter not a bivvy ..it does say bivvy in the description but this looks and says hide wich is a shelter
Thanks for watching. To be fair I would call it a shelter aswell and is sort of my mistake there. But nash brand of as part of their bivvy series so I thought should still class as that as it’s more a bivvy then a brolly ☂️
The XL version of this costs £399 but the price of the standard XL is going up for next year. I very nearly brought a standard XL until they announced this. The block has been redesigned, the material is a much higher spec and there are now 4 vents plus in my opinion it looks fantastic in camou. Both the XLs are nice bits of kit but the difference in quality and looks plus the increase in price mean the camou is my preferred choice.
Cheers jay , yeah I must say that normally using a tempest was taking a punt. But first impressions are good. And over time will tell! Thanks for checking it out 👍
Absolutely pukka review.. really good mate! Shame it's a shit camo print as the bivvy looks good, the real disappointment is that you can't buy it all in as for that price I certainly wouldn't bother. The new fox isn't that more expensive
Thanks for watching mate , yeah there is downsides to it and upsides. I have another video update coming soon on it , just with Christmas this bloody virus and work been a bit slow.
i dont reccomend this bivvy its a load of shit, where the two front arms are there is two mesh sleeves that are attacted to the bivvy, when pulling the two front arms around the stitching will wear away
