I just read 3 stories that had studied that showed that low income neighborhoods have just as many grocery stores as wealthier neighborhoods. Get up, go to the store and cook your food! If you don't know how, turn on pbs and watch cooking shows or watch cooking tutorials on RU-vid! Stop making excuses!

but they are not selling the same type of fresh food. also people in poverty often do not have the right equipment to cook. Or they have 4 jobs. Have you ever been poor? Have you ever had to count the cents in your pocket to check if you can some water? oh well

I have been poor as a child. I mean turn the electricity because you can't pay the bill kind of poor and we never ate junk like this. Beans, eggs, potatoes, fresh fruit and veg from the garden in summer and frozen in winter are pretty cheap. Frozen veg would go on sale and my parents would stock up! It can be done!

People just need to eat less food and get more activity. Sure, eating more nutritious food and learning to cook at home will help, but it will only make people who overeat cook and eat more. The primary problems are overeating and lack of movement.

In California you build a bike and walking trail and suddenly it's taken over by homeless mentally Ill and drug addicted people. How do you deal with that???

Get bloody singel payer healthcare. Hi, I am from europe, bike and walking trails are kind of everywhere, and yes sometimes like on any road you will come across a homeless person. like you would with any other person: just walk past them. not that hard
