Born and raised here still living here! You’ll get bored fast don’t believe all the hype also it’s crazy expensive compared to other southern cities. Still my favorite place because it’s my home!
Opryland Hotels indoor atrium and many other ementies are open to the public so you can enjoy without needing to stay there. Pro tip: Park at the Oprymills Mall on the cinema hall side and as close to the hotel as possible for free parking and with just a short walk.
I moved here some 38 years ago from the Chicago area. I've seen this place explode with growth, but it still remains the smallest big town you'll ever find. Friendly people, great music, good food, lots of greenspace and relatively safe (for a big town). I've been to most of the venues mentioned in here and the review is spot-on.
Born and grew up in Nashville...still here. Great video, but let it be known that most people don't walk around in cowboy boots (except tourists). And, while country music is big in Nashville, we have lots of other musical genres that are widely popular and played by top-notch musicians. Nashville has a thriving jazz community, a symphony orchestra, and more.
I am planning to come for a 3 day trip in October..I have been researching a lot...But I found this is the best video i have seen out of all the ones..
I've lived here all my life (68 years). This video was well done although I was very surprised that Printer's Alley wasn't mentioned. If you are a true country music lover then it's the place to go because of all the music videos that are made there. Example: Toby Keith recorded "I love this bar" at Lonnie's in Printers Alley. Personally I like Ms. Kelly's bar. It's really underground, literally!
That’s some serious travel advice here. I really liked your mix of categorie, many places you choose and the Google Earth flights to get an impression of the distances. Thanks a lot!
I loved your video. Please continue to make more videos like this. You are a one-of-a-kind. I would like to see some videos of some of the cities in Texas and Idaho and Utah. Thank you so much!
Hello, I am from Argentina, since I was very little I have been a fan of country music, and I am madly in love with the city of Nashville, I feel a very special connection with it, I want to meet it, I feel that in my past life I was born in that city Everything about this city seems amazing to me, its history, its culture, its gastronomy... I want to get to know it in the future, it's my dream.
As far as live music..dont forget 3rd & Lindsley bar & grill. The best live venue IMO. You never know who you will see in there!! Mercy Lounge is another. I lived there for about 28 yrs but i dont miss it. Im glad to out in the sticks now.
I haven't been to Nashville since I was a kid, and didn't spend much time there even back then. Someday, I will go back and really see the city. Thanks for the tips.
No offense but please don't. New people moving in are forcing many native and long term residents out. A huge segment of locals can no longer afford to live here. Come visit and have a great time. You'll be greeted with love and kindness.
Appreciate the time stamp and bird's eye views. Trying to choose between CMHOF and MHOF for my last full day🤔. Leaning towards CMHOF/RCA Studio B. Great vlog, thx for the post
Named for Francis Nash. He died in Revolutionary War before city was founded. Ft Nashborough was founded by John Donelson and James Robertson and a party from what's now Sycamore Shoals, TN.
i had no idea Nashville is such a beautiful city. Now I'm scratching my head why the heck people likes living in California beyond me. I kept saying wow watching this video. Nashville is not definitely my next travel destination.
I cannot wait to visit there hopefully soon❤️❤️❤️. Heard it's a party city and amazingly beautiful down there. My cousin lives there. My mom's sister in laws husband is from there. My stepdads family is from Chattanooga TN!! Chattanooga is 2 hours from Nashville

I have never been to Nashville in my life and after watching your video for the first time in RU-vid, I get the sense as to what will expect when I fly there for the first time. And I know the first thing that I'm going to do in Nashville is eat at the Ole Red restaurant at 300 Broadway. One more thing, can you do San Juan, Puerto Rico as your next Destination Explained video? Please.
Just thought I'd let you know; the Frothy Monkey you pictured & found on Google Earth is not the Franklin location, as you stated in the video. The location you showed is in the Nations neighborhood (my favorite Frothy), and it is very, very different from the location in Franklin!
Born in Russia, grew up in Germany/ bavaria... still here (unfortunately ) I'd love to walk around in cowboy boots like a tourist, and join a blues/jazz band 😔 but... my visa was denied for the third time. I definitely going to cry after watching this beautiful video😭 (+@11:20min made me very hungry...great... now I'm sad AND hungry) but now I have something to dream about. 🙄
@@bekah4432 my bro in law’s brother took something that night maybe Xanax, we didn’t know and when security tried to remove him from the ballroom he smacked one guy in the ear and when my bro in law tried to restrain his brother, security jumped him too. Then all the groomsmen went running a muck while i sat with someone’s grandmother waiting for her ride. I swear thinking about me sitting w elevator music while they ran around being dicks with carnival music playing in my head. Makes it too funny. Needless to say it was one for the books.
Having lived in Nashville for the majority of the last 32 years, it has definitely changed, and lost some of its charm of yesteryear, but it's still one of the best places on the planet to live and visit. Having at some point, darkened the majority of these places, I'd say he's spot on with most. If you love the spicy-fried, and find yourself in Franklin, check out Big Shakes. If you like it REALLY hot, head north to check out Slow Burn... take tissues... it's an amazing flavor, but also will melt your sinuses.
While you covered the metropolitan area you left out some pertinent info so as a 30+ year citizen let me help you out. The metro population is over 2.5 million and the largest university in the state, Middle Tennessee State University is 45 minutes away. We don't call "Lower Broad" the Honky Tonk Highway but that's a good name for it.
Lol there is not much to do here in Nashville, visiting and I felt like I did it all in 1 day. Everyone just drinks, it’s a town full of drunks, was nice impressed by it.
It was t founded by Francis nash. It was only named after him. French hunters were in the area 100 years before John Donelson and James Henderson came and formed the Cumberland compact.
Also you didn't mention The Cumberland Science museum, The Fisk Museum, TN Performing Arts Center, not to even mention any of our historic homes! The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson. There is alot of culture and history in nashville if you are interested in more than food, music and drinking. (All are 👍btw)
@@evan9072 Yeahs it's obvious you don't live here. Nashville is "this" big meaning if there were no traffic, you could get anywhere in 20 minutes. I live in the east passed the airport close to Mt.Juliet but work by Vanderbilt so if you know the city,, you can see I have to pass through the city. 2 minutes from the house on interstate 40 I can already see the city so yeah, Nashville is very small.
@@newclothes8165 I have lived here my entire life. Nashville is the 11th largest city in the country by land area. Mount Juliet is not in Nashville, and the traffic you complain about is brought 100% by people like yourself that live in the suburbs, commute in, and don't pay taxes to maintain the infrastructure in our city that you use.
How are you only 20k subscribers??!! Your contents is great! And you are freakin super hot! Also I love techy stuffs so I loved, loved the way you maneuver the screens to locations and maps , and etc. You’re awesome! This is why I subscribed to your channel. You got to do a video of NYC, and all the major metropolitan cities. People like me needs, I mean NEEDS, these informations. Although, you are also freakin hot! 😂😂😂 Whoever your dating/married to, damn what a lucky girl? 😂😂 OMG!!! I can’t believe I am saying this!🤦🏻♀️🙄
I'm Nashville native and wow this is tourist central cause Nashville natives don't go to none of theses places and Nashville natives don't wear cowboy boots and cowboy hats those are tourist and we can spot a tourist a mile away
