The presence of the black dragon breathing acid is what gave me hope for this movie. That's the kind of thing a disinterested studio exec would've cut first. "Acid? That's confusing. Make it breathe fire!" That the movie apparently does its homework (owl bear being a monstrosity and not a beast notwithstanding) makes me excited.

I didn't even notice the gelatinous cube until it was pointed out. love the displacer beast and mimic. Hopefully they will have a Beholder as well.

Maybe Laeral if they end up in Waterdeep, but Dove, Qilue, Sylune, and The Symbol are all dead. Storm is missing and I think Alustriel is retired somewhere. So they might be options

@@jang7675 I haven't read any Forgotten Realms since high school, and I got to say I'm shocked at the body count on the sisters. Only the one "dead" in my day. I wonder if Wizards of the Coast had a falling out with the Author Ed Greenwood and gave all his characters the axe.

@@MrNathansdad When the cast is diving into the Gelatinous Cube, it's the 6 legged black furred panther with the tentacles lunging straight at the camera. They originate in the Feywild. They hunt for sport as much as they do for food, and excel at ambush tactics, especially in wooded areas.. In D&D terms, this little badass can project an illusion of itself close by, making it difficult to actually find and hit, can avoid area attacks(anything that can be saved against for half damage, ie fireballs, generally anything damaging that targets an area rather than a specific thing), and at low levels can shred you to pieces with the spiked pads at the end of it's tentacles. And if the DM has a good descriptive bent, this little guy can be a beast out of your nightmares.

@@MrNathansdad Well, by the lore, they can be trained, but only if they feel it is beneficial to them. They might make for a fickle companions, but, if you can provide the hunting grounds, and worthy prey, they might be willing to stick around. Get lackadaisical with them though, and you might wake up short an arm. That's assuming you wake up again.

one of the videos also mentioned a druid subclass comming up, so the wildshape into owlbear is rules abiding, because right now its only at lvl 17 or the druid is a natural were owlbear ;o)

Thieves is in principles, not the class. And what is a D&D party but a bunch of people who trespass on protected property, steal everything not nailed down (and some that is), and kill things that get in their way. I think thieves is an apt description.

They aren't all rogues. They seem to consist of a Bard, a Druid, a Sorceror, a Barbarian and either a Fighter or a Paladin. I think it's Fighter because a Paladin wouldn't be a thief, but either way. So no rogues at all.

a thief is someone, who steals something... a rogue (the character class) is best at doing that, but is not needed if you just kill off all guards of what you want to steal, rather than sneaking in and getting it unnoticed ;O)

@@catwhowalksbyhimself As someone who played a rogue/paladin multiclass, a paladin woukd absolutely steal when justified.

@@catwhowalksbyhimself First of all, not all paladins are good; Oathbreaker paladins, for instance, tend to be evil. Secondly, alignments are guidelines, not dictates. Even a paladin of a typically good-aligned subclass can be convinced to steal if the reasoning aligns with their personal morals. For instance, maybe they were persuaded that they had to steal the horn before it fell into the wrong hands, which would be dangerous for the entire world, and as such he was protecting everyone. It might have been a lie, but if they believed it, that could convince a good-aligned character to steal the thing.

Th Original D&D film with Jeremy Irons is teh only film i've ever walked out on, it is the second worst film i've ever seen. total abomination. this one looks better, but teh trailer for teh first one was ok.

In my case, I'm never not showing up for a dragon, full stop, unless it looks like a shitty CGI or shitty animatronic. But a realistic dragon? I'M IN, YOU BASTARD, TAKE MY GOLD. ...I like dragons, okay? I even have a small collection of them in my house. Don't judge.
