My goodness, this balerina literally flies and her movents irradiate to the whole stage. She looks so light and her expression carries no superfluous drama.

I have to go under a heart surgery for second time at 73 years old, but last April 2022 I could see in live to Natalia and Camargo in Giselle. My dream was accomplished . 🌹♥️❤️❤️🌷♥️❤️

i'm happy to see natalia being offered chances to do roles such as giselle that are very emotional and graceful. this gives her a chance to work on things such as softer arms and capturing a tragic character. she could just be relegated to roles that spotlight her fantastic athletic ability and jumps but she's being given the chance to grow and mature as an artist. she'll only get better! bravo natalia! and mr. hallberg...wow!

There is something so special about Osipova's portrayal of Giselle- she may not have arms quite as beautiful as others or the fragility of dancers like Cojocaru or Kirkland but she shows such raw emotion and passion when she dances- her entrance for act 2 is the most sensational I have ever seen. As for Hallberg, he is one of the greatest danseur nobles on stage today- so pleased that he was made a principal at the Bolshoi!

Thanks Hookham - I've watched this video clip more than 100 times, and I'm amazed at David and Natalia's artistry every time. They dance so well together. But please help me out: is she made of feather, or strong muscle???

Слов нет, чтобы описать восторг и совершенно " оболденное" удивление от проявления таланта буквально с первых же дней в училище. Поражает природная безупречная координация, как будто Наташа родилась с гироскопом в голове, невероятная уверенность в себе с первых же шагов в танце. Совершенно непонятно , как с первых же выступлений у Наташи проявляется воздушность и парение , как у планера. Закрадывается подозрение, что законы Всемирного тяготения для Наташи не обязательны. Конечно же ее надо видеть "живьем". Мне повезло видеть ее в Дон Кихоте" в Метрополитан. Сгусток энергетической плазмы, которую Наташа проецирует в зал должна быть описана не поэтами , а в физических формулах и некоторых может свести с ума.

I saw them with ABT this March in Chicago. It was a perfect experience. From start to end, they were perfect. Stars shinning bright for us. Thank you God for creating such marvelous artists!

Hallberg has amazing facility, a kind of new Eric Bruhn artistically. Osipova is such a strong and gifted ballerina.

They make a good pair. Her Giselle literally is as light as a ghost but fights for her love and his Albrecht is unmelodramatic but nuanced and his technique is fabulous.

For me both reach the perfection, i saw many dancers in this ballet and I am not young,the pair Osipova and Hallberg a dream for this « quintescence » of the French romantic ballet.🙌🌸👏🎶🙏🦋🌺🎶🩰

Ok-- 'No chance' but-- does ANYONE know if the Osipova/ Hallberg Giselle- 2012- American Ballet Theatre-- is available in Full on DVD? :) I Ran-- literally-- to see it in 2012-- Alone on that one-- with babysitting money I had made the night before-- After having booked the Paris Opera Ballet a Year in advance, Giselle too-- But the ABT one with her as guest -- just-- no words-- So -- I am on this 'wild goose chase' for That particular one -- full length. ( I have the 3-set DVD of her and others -- but -- 'of course' I just cannot get that 2012 out of my head). Zakharova- Vishneva-- I Love too -- but Anyone who saw that 2012 Giselle with her could Not forget it.

If in not wrong, i belive he is Jilliam Murphys husband.She is another spectacular ballerina/

David Hallberg is entirely revelatory. His phrasing is so nuanced! And this is just my opinion but I don't like Osipova's port de bras. She has a very particular brand of movement that is very athletic, but I just don't think it looks right for this role, she's almost too on top of the movement for the character to be convincing. I hope she finds a good coach/mentor who can soften her arms and hands...

For a moment I forgot that this is the Vasiliev version. Which is why the Albrecht variation is different at the start.

Good job to both but my favorites in these roles are the incomparable Svetlana Lunkina and Nicolai Tsiskaridze. Their 1998 performance is unbelievably, breathtakingly wonderful as is their pas de deux from 2008. They were the ultimate Giselle and Albrecht in my opinion.

Osipova is a bit too fast & furious for my taste. Sometimes reminds me more of a gymnast in pointe shoes.

Osipova is definitely a youtube generation ballerina, the kind of tricks-driven dancer who excites in small doses but lacks technical and artistic polish. Tendency to sickle, problematic port de bras, etc., but no doubt amazing springing ability. Hallberg is a consummate artist with astonishingly refined technique, ballon, and a full understanding of the character. Bravo to David.

Хольберг =настоящий классический танцовщик, что сейчас большая редкость,сейчас больше трюкачей-гимнастов. Вот Осипова тому пример, все вытанцовывает чисто и виртуозно, а Жизели нет, после каждой вариации, хочется поставить оценку типа шесть ноль,шесть ноль и т.д.

David doesnt undetstand what he is doing. He doesnt see his partner. He is dancing as if on a graduation exam. No understanding of his character. Poor artistry.
