I don’t think there is any higher aspiration for a little girl in Russia than to be the prima donna in Swan Lake. You can see during the famous flourish at the end, the awe upon her face. It is a true triumph.
Never thought Natasha could make such a splendid white swan. I wasn’t a huge fan of her black swan but this is definitely one of the best white swan I’ve ever seen. May even be my favorite.
@@erinfleming4878 Other diminutive variations on Natalia are Tasha, even Tata. For every Russian formal first name, there could be several diminutives. In the case of Natalia, I would wager that Natasha is the most common one.
Beautiful and Mesmerizing!!💖Golding and Osipova are a truly perfect dancing pair complementing each other it's a gem I only had seen her as Odette/Odile in only short clips but ROH really has gotten a Prima Assoluta!!😄
Pauline. You are correct in every way, I just cannot believe the intensity of this dazzling, breathtaking performance. This clip is a life changing moment for me in the art of ballet, if not my whole perception of art.
AHHHH this is so beautiful, I really do love Osipova. Although, I wish they hadn’t slowed the music down so much at 0:13 but I guess it’s just a style thing.
I agree completely. I believe it has to do with the entrechats and passés that come afterwards. Osipova often decides to jump higher at the cost of speed. I can only suspect that it is for the sake of demonstrating her incredible potential when it comes to elevation. I have a hard time with the music being slowed down too. But I adore her as a dancer!
