Like father, like daughter. Natalie and Nat king Cole are one of the best father daughter groups of all time. Their voices sounded so good separately and together. RIP 🎵🎵

Exactly, Natalie never performed this song live. Probably because it was so hurtful for her and she was divorcing her then husband Marvin Yancy when that song was recorded with producer Michael Masser. She stated in her autobiography that when Michael played it for her over the piano at her house she cried 😢

Thank you so much, Angela... Yes, indeed this is a very sad, but sobering thought of a song... ❤‍🩹💔

Wow, this reminds me of a girl I loved about 40 years ago. Hearing this one was very hard. I'm 63 years old and haunted by many ghosts.

Natalie was one of my favorite singers of all time, and she could sing in so many styles. I miss her so much. Saw her live so many times, and I can actually be heard yelling to her on her LIve album from 1977.

This Will Be An Everlasting Love is a great song. A song you might want to react to from Natalie Cole is "Mr. Melody" or "I've Got Love On My Mind"

Barbra did a superlative cover of this song, i suggest you give it a listen. Both versions are great, but something in the lushness of Barbra's voice takes it to a different level

Great song, to come from sure "royalty" and have a stand out career of your own is tough. I would also recommend "When I Fall In Love" with her dad. Was watching some of your older tunes last night and hit the BOND road. Didn't see you do Glady Knight's License to Kill great song, great singer still going strong.

That voice !! I've always though a lighter arrangement would've worked so much better. Just her, piano and a couple strings.

I was going to mention This Will Be, her breakout hit, but you beat me to it! She had a string of hits from the mid 1970's to the late 1970's! Natalie is also a very special name to me for personal reasons!

This song came along when I’d been dumped by “the love of my life”. It became a go to song. What’s funny is the words resonate with a remark I made to my friend as we were exiting my dorm and my off-campus heartbreak was coming in to secretly see shared friends. As Ann walked past and we both said a perfunctory “Hi” - my friend Ed laughed, “Hey Mike, don’t you know her?” My response, she was just steps passed us, “Nah, she’s just someone that I thought I knew.” I could feel her cringe. I’m sure the guy she dropped out of school and married right after has thought the same. I hope she found happiness. I doubt it was with him. LOL
