Same, there's not enough reviews of Natasha Denona and PMG with tan skin, and I'm always excited to see what these palettes look like on her, especially with Alicia's eye for eyeshadow placement.

I love brown. I love gold. I don't have the "original" Gold palette, coz I've only just started getting into makeup I'm not someone who can use more than 2 shades at a time 😆 Aaannnddd that's why, this palette is *perfect* for me!!! 🎉 I love one-and-done looks, and a shade like Varis is my literal go to!! The rest I'm gonna just do 1 matte + 1 of those sparkly ones! Now, comparing say my Chantecaille luminescent shades at $58 for a single shadow....to getting a ND 15-pan palette at $58.65 (using your 15% off discount coupon!)...I mean, its not even a question! I think it’s awesome she made it more wearable BUT I think it would have been cool for her to release a shimmer teal eyeliner with it or something to call back to the teals
Alicia! Those warm gold tones on you! SO SO gorgeous!! It can be hard to identify people's natural undertones when looking at videos. But I think these makeup shades must compliment your undertones, because you look magnificent. I think you could put a gown on and walk a red carpet with these shades on your eyes and cheeks. The same thing happened to Angela Bright! Her highlighter fell out too. She glued hers back in but doesn’t look good for Natasha to have two of my favorite RU-vidrs with defective palettes.
I’ve loved the original Gold for many years. It had something that made it extra special. The gritty, textured shimmer shades are like nothing else she’s released. I was really hoping that same special quality would be in Golden, but I didn’t think it had the same textures with the shimmers. Oro was the most obviously different shade and texture out of the “repeat” shades. I love the wet effects, but they’re definitely smoother, more creamy, ethereal sparkles, not the chunky, texture kind of sparkle we got in Gold. Both are beautiful, and I’m still glad to have Golden, but it definitely isn’t a copy-paste of Gold.
As a brown person with olive undertone, and I just saw the palette swatched on your skin that is similar to mine , the first thought was : ( its the everyday "darker & neutral" version of [ i need a nude ] palette) !!! Its giving me too faced chocolate palette too ,very milky & sandy to my eyes !!! Every ND palette is the one for me , until the next one drops & that is the one for me until i ended up with ZERO ND palettes 😂😂😂😂 I didn't buy any palette, the more i look at her collection all i see is almost MONOCHROMATIC color stories!!! To me right now : GLAM is the one & this golden one is speaking to me in a chocolatey brown nude tone 😂😂😂 I have to say : Sigma cool neutrals is taking my breath away since it launched & thats so perfect for me in term of THE ONE palette ( bronze, mauve , mustard & taupe ) = cool, warm & neutral pink !! Although i kinda need & want olive/khaki toned beiges & greens but i can totally find one palette Thank you for sharing the comparison between the two versions ❤❤❤

Lovely video, thank you so much! Nobody beats your swatches. I have the OG gold from her one last random restock from last year, so I’ll be passing. But for folks that could only have Golden, I feel like a mashup between it and Yucca could bring the teals it’s missing! It doesn’t have the teal shimmer, but it serves the mustard and teal mattes for sure.

Yours is the second video I saw today with the pans of the highlighter falling out. I got mine in the mail today and the pan is falling out of the middle shade as well. Yes it can be glued back in but for $55 it seems like they had a quality issue with the glue.
I love your review as always Alicia!, I have the OG Gold palette and is one of my favorites from ND, the teal shades make perfect sense for me, I was born in Peru, and since I have memory I saw many gold artifacts from pre-Columbus cultures including "the Incas", with that teal rust in them, or worked with teal gems or materials like aquamarine, I saw that greenish gold in many artifacts and when I was a kid, my parents had one beautiful paint in a black velvet canvas of a "Tumi" with those gold and teal shades, I used to loved it and for that reason I had a hard time to let my OG gold palette out of my hands. I'm really sorry that in this new version those shades were left behind.
I appreciate you sharing this memory, because intuitively I knew that teal and gold exist naturally in the metal world somewhere. Because seeing the teals with the golds is so pleasing to the eye 😮💨
It's the internal conflict between which of the gold palettes you like more that I felt the most. I haven't even played with mine yet and I wanted to avoid watching reviews before I do but I couldn't miss yours!! So good! I'm glad you brought out the I Need A Nude highlight

Aria (edit: Aura lol) is such a natural contour on your eyes! Like it was made for you 🥰 P.S. those two highlight shades falling out omg. So lucky they didn't need repressing! The embossing is so pretty I would have cried if it disappeared like that 😭

I think my skin tone is similar to youra when you're not tanned so i always look forward to you trying new shades and experimenting looks. Stunning! I am so excited for this palette. This color story caught my attention from the moment I saw it. The warmth of the golden tones is going to work well with my medium deep complexion. It’s like an “I Need a Nude” for my complexion (the original pulls a smidge light/ dare I say ashy😆) The swatches and color comparisons are phenomenal. The demos… 😍! As for the highlighter, it must be exchanged. I literally gasped when 2 of the 3 fell. Fabulous job as usual!!!

So glad you reviewed this palette Alicia! Mine arrived today as well, and it's the best mid tone companion for I Need a Nude. Nubia is def best with a finger, it stays put, warm and cool sparkles, gorgeous. Mliko also looks much lighter and milky-ashy on me than Aura as an inner corner highlight. Sandstone is yellow leaning ala Yucca palette. Flesh, Teak and Aria are beautiful mid tones. Can't wait for your next review with a few looks from this palette, it's really great for med to deeper skin tones. 💛

I think this palette is beautiful. It is a little softer without going grey/cool & is good for those of us who don't have the strength of coloring to handle Bronze or the OG Gold. Many of ND's palettes are just too bold/warm in color or too dusty for me. I like true warm neutrals like camel, tan, brown bronze & caramel. On you, it looks very, very natural so I could understand if it doesn't have enough OOOOOMPH for anyone deeper than Fair/Light or Light/Med. As it is, a couple of those golds are a little out of my comfort zone for everyday but I love the mattes & the softer slightly leaning peachy gold shimmers. Reminds me of the SG shimmer that came in your bundle. I use that shade everyday :D This palette is like an extended version of the Viseart Petite Praline Quad which I also use pretty regularly.
Alicia, your reviews are always top notch. Thank you so much for doing all this work for us. I really wanted a gold based palette that was also neutral as opposed to orange leaning, and it looks like ND delivered. I ordered this one. The colors that are missing from the old Gold palette (the mustard and the greenish golds) can be found in the Yucca palette, and I don't really use teals. This one was a slam dunk for me.
You never know maybe Natasha Denona will come out with a mini golden palette that has you know that beautiful rainwater metallic teal in it. That’s like the only teal that I care about.😂❤
This is probably the 4th time I’ve watched this video. I love your reviews and your complexion is a close match to mine so I rely heavily on your reviews and looks. I have the original and pulled it out this week to use it more but I’m still drawn to the palette because of the new shimmer shades
The golden shades look so pretty on you! Love the original Gold palette and brought this one but I didn't really need it because I have all of ND palettes and could easily dupe a gold look. Wish this palette had a little more variation between shades, it's too many similar shades. And I need deeper mattes. Gold is a neutral on me so I'm going to enjoy this palette!

Monochromatic works for me. I just get overwhelmed when there are too many colors. Monochromatic let me use 2-3 shadows that look great and not too crazy. I’m 60, so bright and crazy just makes me look like I did my makeup in the dark. Also, I order from Toronto. I get my ND orders within a week wrapped to the tens. Never had anything show up broken.
Omg! I clicked on your video so fast! Thanks for getting it up so quickly As amazing as this new palette is, I kinda wish ND kept a touch of the teal greens, like one shade. Maybe the lime chrome as a nod to the old palette. On the other hand, I can see why she went full gold monochromatic. It's a theme, like Xenon ❤❤❤
Forgot a thought I had, I kinda was there was a dual chrome or some other punchier shade to complaint the gold's. Maybe we'll get a mini in those missing greens for the holidays like you said
Hi Alicia! Thanks for the review, I could never get to buy Gold so I think I would really enjoy this palette. And you were right, the shade Aura is in the 10 eyeshadow palette, I have it (and I think you do too, since I decided to buy it after watching it in one of your videos 😅) and it's very special on top of a dark colour because the gold reflect appears more evident. Definitely Golden will be on my wishlist.

I still think the same as when I first saw photos of this release - the midi palette is pretty much I Need A Nude for tanner skin tones, which is great for Natasha to offer 😅 It makes sense for her to go monochromatic with this because we already got the mustards and teals in Yucca. Business-wise, the new Gold could potentially invite a larger market looking for neutrals, and not necessarily make up enthusiasts who may already have the teals/mustards in other palettes. And then there are the very few who are collectors who may still get this for the sake of having the complete ND collection 🤷🏽♀️
I never got the gold palette😢😢 I still regret not picking it up. This one is just not speaking to me, I still want the original those colors that are not included I can' t get passed it. The palette is pretty but not enough for me to pick it up.

NARS actually launched the first metallic looking folding molten look top. They only did it on the Overlust collection eyeshadow and matching cheek highlighter palette. I liked it best BC it was still shiny but the molten look top showed no fingerprints 🙌👏 I found I need a nude disappointing in how light glaze like most of the metallic shades were. They just don’t have the depth texture and lasting power of say Glam metallics for example. Thanks for your commitment and energy you put into these extensive reviews Alicia. You seem like a fun person that doesn’t take herself too seriously. Thanks
It's okay. I just want to be blown away. I'm sure people will love this. I want the original Gold Palette is the midi size. Or maybe I just want the Isamaya industrial 2 palette....I want things I can't have.
Great review. I’ve seen the highlighter shades fall in a couple of reviews now. The Bronze is my favourite so far and I hope the Golden will combine nicely with the Bronze. If Yucca and Golden were combined would we get the original Gold?
