Do we need anymore highlighters? No. Do we keep buying them? Yes. SAME GIRL SAME. I'm excited about ND highlighters, been waiting for someone to either review them or swatch in store! Glad you reviewed them!! I lurvvvvvv ND products!
Just wanted you to know I found your channel on February 6 this year never really watched RU-vid but I liked the reviews. I was scrolling your Mac review caught my eye so I watched and watched your videos all day. That day was the last day I had a drink in 16 years. I am still sober. I want to thank you. You helped save my life
OMG. That gave me chills. You are so strong and I applaud you for ALL your days of sobriety. I don't know what it is about myself that has helped but my heart is moved. I'll always be thinking of you XOXOXOXOX
I wore the #2 light med to work today. I used it like she instructed on her Instagram story, I layered a cream base then added the super glow on top. OMG,,, I've never been self conscious about my makeup before, but today I feel like my highlight is over the top. And I'm the type to NEVER think that. It's so reflective and shiny! Used on top of a cream, I don't find it to emphasize any texture. This is actually one that emphasizes it the least for me. I always look forward to your reviews :)
Lol! I got this notification as I was watching you 😂😂 on YT, obviously lol. I would assume that they Mini blush probably isn’t as good as her normal quality. Only because, her mini eyeshadow palette was awful 😩
Lol, I’m glad I’m not the only one that’s highlighter obsessed,😂😂. I agree that it gives the illusion of texture (wether it’s there or not), I would say out of the three I vote CT. I personally layer stargazer with either white noise or halo and then a touch of kvd crushed metal palette. I’ve been feeling veeeeery extra lately,😂. Can’t wait to see your next video.
I just found out about you a week ago and you’ve quickly become a favourite of mine! Very entertaining, informative and down-to-earth. Just curious- what is the sponge/puff I see you using? It’s the big, dark (black?) one I’ve seen you using in the last few videos.
At this point I have so many highlighters that I’d prefer a smaller size with a smaller price. I’ve never even hit pan, let alone finished, a highlighter 🤷♀️
Ooooooh they are so beautiful! I want them both. Will probably hold off...for a bit...since I have several lifetimes of highlighter to go through first, lol. Let's see how long I can handle this current "no buy" situation, lol. Love you Mel! ❤
I usually don’t comment but I have to say I LOVE watching you. I feel like you are one of the best makeup artists out there and I wanted to thank you for your content. All of your looks are wearable and I appreciate that. Question: Do you have a video on your preferred makeup brushes? I’d love to purchase some you think are good. Thanks again for all you do. 😘
I started to buy the darkest shade of this highlighter but I have so many. And I just brought Pat McGraft's highlighter palette and Nordstrom's anniversary Becca Paris highlighter. Like you I love Natasha Denona's products so I may pick it up anyway. Love your lippie!
Yes brow highlight!!! I actually just bought the teeny mini little highlight blush duo from sephora, I had never tried any of her products and I literally saw it in that damn travel section when I was in line and I just couldn't not and so far the blush and highlight are freaking gorgeous and now these are intriguing me. Awesome video. 👌😘
I NEED this lipsticks. Looks so stunning on you 😍😍😍 thanks for listing the products on your face in the infobox 😘 And as always: great video! My Highlighter arrived today, I got the fair one. Hope I‘ll like it :)
You can definitely never have too much highlight. lol. I’m obsessed with buying highlighters and eyeshadow palettes. I just always get excited and I always look forward to your reviews Mel.❤️. I only bought the fair shade but now I’m really debating getting the medium shade. They’re just so beautiful.
You made video about buffing technqiues, can make more videos about different techniques like stippling ,different foundation techniques or even eye technqiues
That highlight is gorgeous. I have no idea which new one I wanna get now! Hmmmm. I think I’ll have to touch both to make my choice, both the CT one and ND one look stunning! Thanks for the review!
They both look beautiful on you. I am probably not going to pick up either one of these only because I just purchased the Charlotte Tilbury bar of gold palette and the Anastasia Dream glow kit among any other new highlighters that have been released. For some reason I can't resist a new Highlighter!
This is sitting in my sephora basket right now, perfect timing on the review! I am not going to be able to decide (as per usual) between this and the CT palette. Alrighty then, both of them it is 😏.
I was so happy to see a review for this because I have it in my basket and I'm trying to decide if I should get it. Do the crushed chroma crystals make it glittery at all? It's described as having a "glass-like"effect. Do you think it gives a glossy effect? Thanks so much!!
I cant wait for a review of the ABH new liquid highlighters. I know the shades are a bit dark for you though. Maybe Kelsey can review it or she can provide swatches for you. The ND and CT highlighterS are too light for me.
Thank you so much for the review as always. I love your channel!! Would you say the highlighter is similar to ND’s diamond and blush palette she released earlier this year?
it's similar but I find that these are a little more opaque and less stiff. She said they are the same formula, and they probably are but sometimes them being in a palette vs alone will affect the product. I like these more :) Especially the fair shade
Hey Mel! Nice per usual💋. Always look fwd to your vids. Questions: can you plz help me understand what to do w/the MAC Pinwheel Barely Dressed? Also- longer response required- could you plz explain the MAC Foundation tones? (N, C, NC, NW). I am NC15, but the whole thing confuses me. Tyvm! L&R!!
Amazing amazing superr amazing video. Thank you for listening.. i think i will settle for the cT palette. I had swatched the dior n found the formula dry..
It was soooo hard to pick one out online. I ended up getting 01 and it is beautiful and intense, but I'll definitely be picking up the second one too. It layered soooo beautiful over the cream in the 01 darya palette. Also, really pretty when the brush is sprayed with setting spray.
I like all of them on you but I think my favorite out of the Dior palette which I own and the Charlotte Tilbury and Natasha Denona is the Tilbury and Dior Formulas because for me personally I don't want any added texture showing on my skin. You have gorgeous skin so they all look beautiful on you.
Thank you for you comments. I really like the CT then Dior then ND. After this review I think I am going to get the Charlotte tilbury one. Other one I was thinking was the Pat Macgrath as a possibility as well. Any thoughts as to how that one fits m the lineup? I am older so issues with texture are important
Pat McGrath is awesome, but they aren't as wearable. I think the CT and these are more everyday colors...the PM is more different. Less likely to have them already in your collection
Thank you.. I believe you are the first one to review these.. I wanted to ask you about the 2017 holiday palettes Joya and Aeris whether yours are still nice and creamy -I have a chance to get them now ,but after so many have had issues with especially the Aeris -palette I'm a bit reluctant-they are soo pretty though..Hope you will answer:)))and Thank you!
Oh thank you for your super fast reply!!I'm in Israel so I just might ask them to give them a good 'check up" before sending it out..:))i don't need any more highlighters either .. but but...:)
Nothing to do with this, but I saw Chanel and thought, could you do a "Shop my stash" with Candeur et Experience maybe? And if you have Eclat Enigmatique, a look with that one too please? Chanel reds are my favourites!
Have you tried Dior glow pink? Is that similar to Holo pink? I’m curious the comparison for these two. I got glow pink, and wanna know the differences. Btw, ND super glow 01 is gorgeous, love it!
I'm leaning towards the CT on you but they are all beautiful. Personally on myself I like the CT because it works with my dry mature skin. I skipped the ND ones because I'm a little off ND at the moment after the crappy Tropic palette. It didn't work for me at all and felt it wasn't up to her usual standard. You look lovely!
I agree with Sara, if you want something pretty bright, the CT palette will look nice. If you want something more subtle, the Nars Fort De France would be pretty :)
I agree with you about the jump in shades. I left a comment on ND's page asking her to include a deeper champagne because the yellow/gold was too deep for deeper skin for every day wear. Q: Do you like the hourglass strobe or Dior illuminizer or Amrezy better than all of the new ones? Save me my coins.. lol
I don't think any of us NEED any more makeup but we still want it and buy it lol... its hard to tell between CT & ND they all look beautiful on you... Nothing to do with the video but you have become one of my favorites YT to watch and was wondering if you have an uploading schedule you follow or just post about every day during the week?? I really enjoy watching all your videos but I dont really pay attention to what days you actually upload, I just get a notification and I jump on here to watch. Btw, I really appreciate that you always list in the description box everything thats on your face!
Thank you!!! I used to have a schedule but it became harder to stick to because releases would come out and I would want to get them up asap. I generally upload 4-5 times a week and at 7 am central time. :)
Great review! Have you tried the Natasha Denona all over glow face and body in the lighthest shade? I might wanna buy that highlighter but I don´t know if it would be too dark for me. I do have the Nars fort de france and in my opinion and fair skin, it is just a little bit too dark and golden for me... Please help me out here! :)
Have you tried the pixi highlighter in subtle sunrise? It's is the most intense wet beaming highlighter i have EVER used I own every highlighter down to the classics heatwave and whisper of guilt.
Question! Do you prefer forte de france from Nars vs Bar of gold from CT? I can never use up my makeup, so quantity never appeals to me. I don’t need a lot of product- just quality product. PS- Amy thought on the CT wands? Or the Chantecaille gel bronzer?
Lmao you crack me up. I got shade 2 and I agree, they could have had a shade a bit darker because even on me (NW35) right now for summer; I can see a slight white cast when looking forward. Gorgeous formula tho for sure! ✨💜
I put the same ones on me and I cannot see any highlight, could it be my house lighting or what, why is it not blinding like yours is. Ok I just put on moisturizer first then applied it with a denser brush and now I see it, looks great now is visible.
Hello gorgeous!! I will definitely stick to CT. I don't want any texture showing on my skin. As much as the ND look beautiful on you, we don't all have your face 😊 and I may also pick up that Dior one as well. Thank you!! 😘
Good morning, sweet Mel. I think I like the Charlotte better on you. Although, I can't imagine anything not looking good on you! Can you recommend a highlighter for more mature skin, with less bling? I'm trying to find one in a rose gold color, and it has to be a cruelty free brand. I'm using a lovely palette from UD, but there isn't a rosy tone that's offered. Have a wonderful day! 💟💓
Highlight on you...they all look good, my vote is Dior. I've not bought nor need highlight, but that's a me thing, have both MAC sprays, and older with more texture. I've just been wearing dim light as a blush/bronzer situation on my summer enhanced skin, I just don't highlight that often( you know that though) Appreciate the review. 💜
Which color do you like better on your skin out of the Natasha Denona one's fair #1 or light medium #2? I bought 1 but not sure if I would like 2 better?
