I think Pharrell was smashing all of them and promised them all kind of stuff. He gave 'em all one track or duet on his many compilations and projects. But he wasn't fighting to get them each a record deal. Or even a group deal.

Vanessa Marquez did an interview about how the group dynamic was going to be them starting as R&B and evolving to include Latin genres, and she insinuated that Tiffany wasn't following through/didn't want to continue on. She said that Pharrell was also very busy with other projects and couldn't devote as much time into the group
