Nick and Nate have always spoken like that, there's an interview with their teacher where she says they both have a hard time keeping eye contact while speaking and they've always had a speech impediment
You can hear with folks with CTE, this kind of weariness in the voice, slight slurring, and stuttering. I worry for him and his brother, who gave an interview that was *definitely* CTE babble-- incomprehensible. There's no cure.

If you watch his interview with Bradley Martin he sounds very slurred but he’s also stoned to the gills. I feel like his voice is dependent on the amount of weed he’s smoked on that particular day

Head trauma definitely has cognitive effects. Nate is one of my favorite fighters and I hope he starts taking care of himself. He's a legend and deserves a healthy retirement if that's even attainable at this point.

He refused to take pics with fans even a little kid . He treats people like dirt literally I tried to shake his hand after I took a photo with him only reason he toook it with me was because I was coool with the promoter he pushed me away after the photo and pushed my phone he is the rudest most foul low class fighter I ever met sorry not sorry. Nick and Nate always had problems translating their thoughts into verbalization and articulating their words properly to express themselves. Especially when Nate blew up into a superstar. You try publicly speaking while millions are watching and criticizing every word! When he’s laid back chilling with his homies he’s clear as a bell.

They’ve always looked uncomfortable in group settings and/or interviews. I’ve always thought they probably have some form of social anxiety. And fighting is the only way they can freely express themselves to the fullest extent.
If you watch his earliest videos in high school you can see that he was VERY awkward socialably. His teachers even said that he has always been like this. I have a friend who is a fellow musician named Nate as well and he acts the exact same way.

They've always had speech like that but he seems like it's gotten better actually maybe it's confidence. Both of them are tough guys but they have actually had problems with confidence in front of groups of people and speaking to people in the past Nick has talked about it in interviews
