I certainly agree with you he is a great one if not one of the greats from our generation. My vote however would go to Antonio Sanchez. But close...and I like they have totally different styles. Listen to both play with Metheney.

Nice use of dynamics. With Nate it's always a journey and his drums speak in many languages. One of the unique drummers of our generation. Love his style....a monster. Thanks for posting...great video!
