Nathan Chen performed his new exhibition program, Mr. Blue Sky, at the Ice Chips 7pm ice show at the Skating Club of Boston on April 8th, 2023. The video is of 4K quality.
This is Nathan Chen's natural, spirited, athletic and fun, a feel good number that makes you smile and really appreciate his talent. The ice rink seems like his playground. Love it.
I don't know why so many people act like he retired or is on the verge of retiring after he won Olympic gold. The guy is younger than me and still has like a decade left in the tank. He's just trying to finish his degree first
I would say, from my observation, he maintains a good state of his body. I don't know if it is because his injury has become better or sth else, but I can clearly feel that both his artistry and tech have become better compared to his exhibition programs last year.
Whatever Nathan Chen decides to do after graduating from Yale is fine with me because I know he's a smart young man, athlete and student surrounded by good guidance and support. He could further his studies, meaning retire from sport to go for a Doctorate Degree in a field of his choice or he could return to sport to compete against a younger crop of athletes. Either way I'm very proud of him because he's Nathan Chen.
After got Gold medal, he already achieved his goals, is fulfilling his dream, there no need to pursue 💫like all other athletes after winning gold then do something else.
