@@adilahzafor3964 thats being generous, i think it sounds like they spent about an hour practicing before they did this, and they didn't do a very good job. they were all over the place, and singing over eachother with clashing styles. they didn't sing together very well, or harmonize at all.
Unpopular opinion: the sign language "singer" (ASL interpreter) was the best. Look at him getting into it with his whole body and show off his passion!
The Super Bowl announcer’s introduction: “To honor America and perform our national anthem, please welcome Grammy nominated country music SUPERSTAR, Eric Church, and multi-Grammy RECORDING ARTIST, Jazmine Sullivan. How is he a ‘superstar’ and she’s just a ‘recording artist’?
@@punnequraq and also its like people will just worship black people these days and do anything for them because their mind is so wrapped around this whole blm matter bs lmfaoo alot of the black people probably think they are all crazy
This is the social media era, if you're not trying to be over the top, edgy or Virtue Signaling then you're not performing. The goal is never to entertain, the Goal is always to go viral or trend.
@@loganderry5004 I’m sure “thoughtful_instigator was not referring to those performer’s versions. The performers you named don’t sing anything boringly and they definitely don’t do “less.” So please give a better example of where “less was more” and not boring.
They both have awesome voices and I like how it wasn’t so deadly serious either they gave it some soul and warmth, never heard of Jazmine before but she has a beautiful voice and will def look up her music now!
@@redsalamander3007 I do sing our anthem and very good at it, well at least the LA Lakers think so. That is why they had me back 10 times! And the LA ANGES, NASCAR, ANAHEIM DUCKS HOCKEY, CITY OF HOPE, CORPORATES. Etc.
You know most people that Sing that song give their own flair on it , don’t got to get all your Panties in a wad become someone was feeling passionate about the song Ma’am
Song was written by Francis Scott Key, a bigoted man who was butt hurt about slaves siding with the British during the war of 1812. Sounds like you've never heard the full song and think what they perform at sporting events is the entire original song.
Fabulous. !!!! We all are proud of being American, therefore, why should it has to be sung in a specific certain way. We shall all embrace it and be proud of our national Anthem. There shouldn't be any space for negative critics. "God Bless America".
The sign language guy was the best part. He stole the performance!!! The vocal rendition of the anthem was just okay. They tried too hard to be different.
@@jenayamcneil7008 half the song you couldn’t even understand what they were singing. They were constantly singing over each other. They chose the both of them to call for unity between black and white people, but half the song they couldn’t even do that.
Jasmine should have sing the song along, She had to follow him and their vioces didn't match. His voice was OK, but he held her back. She hid to watch him and try to follow along.
Such a pity, despite being good singers, that they couldn't finish on time so you could hear the flypast of $1.5 billionish equipment. Still, it's all about her.
She was originally supposed to do it on her own they asked him to join her at the last minute they put them together because they are to different types of singers it was like a message that anyone can come together she has a Natural bright voice she can’t help that
This is one of the best remixes of the National Anthem I've heard, not too many can do it. If only "America" can stick by how her country was founded, things would be just fine! God Bless the USA!!!
This was perfect they respected each others respected lanes while blending beautifully and made it unique and comfortable for the both of them and EC will always be my top country artist and I’ll always love JS this performance was about unity and they did just that it’s to much hate in the world 🌎
Exactly, I love the traditional Mariah Carey, but the take on this seemed very modern and symbolic, sort of a mixing of culture between us southerners and our slightly weird northern brethren
The funny thing is, the anthem wasn’t originally a song, but we sing it. Things change, deal with it. You people think you are so patriotic, but you are not. This was beautiful and there is no way of disputing that. It doesn’t matter how it is sung, as long as the meaning is the same. Good job on the national anthem and keep doing it!! Kudos
Rude! Anyone in your house can do better get at it! I am so sick of nasty stupidity. Keep that obnoxious comment to yourself. The world has enough negative.

@@robyngrier7002 It threw me off that one of the singers was singing it with flair and the other was singing regularly. Even though I knew the lyrics it kind of made it hard to follow along with them singing over eachother and to add to that I kind of don't like the flair versions people make because I can't really sing with them if they do that
I loved this. Different twist to it but it sounded awesome to me. I think her voice was a little overpowering when singing together but other than that both did a good job...I love Eric Church!!
Thank you so much for your posting. I just heard it on TV. I had to hear it again. Both singers are top notch. The combination of high and low notes hit so many feelings. I got goosebumps.
People have nothing better to do than bitch about every damn thing that takes place nowadays. This was different but done very tastefully. Good job to both artists
@@spyhunter3179 ah, yes, the "right" way to sing it. I really wish you could have been in the rehearsals so that the band and singers knew what to do. Rats! Maybe next time, musicians will listen to you.
@@kurtisherzog88 That's just the thing. It doesn't sound like there was any rehearsal. Should have just had Jasmine. It's the National Anthem. It only needs a good voice, it doesn't need a "performance."
@@MySensualWorld I didn't mean to exclude him. I enjoyed the entire arrangement. I'd heard a few of her songs and didn't realize how amazing her voice actually was. The country singer was good too👌🏾✌🏾👍🏾

Kurt Gewinner People even complained about the great late Whitney Houston singing the national Anthem. I mean 🤷🏾♂️ really. She made you feel every word as if you just left the battle fields 😂, yet, it wasn’t good enough cause it apparently it was “prerecorded”. Can’t please everyone.
The National Anthem deserves more respect than that. This is a song about people sacrificing their lives for the preservation of the Republic; not meant to be a vocal exercise for the vain. You do not interpret the Star Spangled Banner, you sing it as written and you reflect on who gave up what so you can live in a country as great as the U.S.A..
