Well technically bretons are a mix of the Celts in Gaul and the ones in Cornwall that fled the Saxons while they were busy fighting the Celts in Britannia, only the welsh truly held out on that island tho, and a small pocket that was actual Cornwall
I bloody love this, and I think it's a very good thing that there are more people speaking Welsh, Irish and Scots Gaelic than there have been in centuries. Let's hope Cornish and Manx can make similar comebacks
No. More people spoke Welsh a hundred years ago and even more if you go further back. But certainly more people speaking Welsh than 50 years ago, and a government plan to have 1 million speaks by 2050.

Dude that sucks, if I was moved to a place far away from my home country which is Wales for over 3 years, I would be heartbroken and want to come back, because eventually when your at America for so long you will loose your Welsh accent

When in reality its the Union that has made Wales poor and the Welsh aren't too stupid, quite the opposite in fact. I don't care what the literal translation is, I am American and this is the most beautiful Anthem I have ever heard, 2nd is our National Anthem, The Star Spangle Banner. I have listened to this so much, I can speak Welsh. I listen over and over. Always gives me chills and I never tire of this Anthem.

@The Radical Im living in North Wales atm, most Welsh people here have atleast 1 English grandparent in my experience. There's an awful lot of English people living here too. I think the stronger Brythonnic blood may have been the case a while ago and still is some of the smaller villages but on the whole there's a lot of English admixture.

(This comment may be already repeated) but I am pretty sure there are some translation errors. Sometimes where it says "Gwlad" it says "Wales" but gwlad = country. Cyrmu/Gymru (C turns to a G with mutation) means Wales
I'm Welsh and my anthem is so good but Ingen you got the Welsh wrong Gwlad means country not Wales and there's many more but it's ok for a anthem video.
