I love this song. I remember dad (1915-1992), also a WW2 veteran, saying back when he was young, the first paying job he ever had was "riding fence" for a Comanche Rancher here in southwestern Oklahoma. He was a young man during the worst of the Dust Bowl, and having a job was the difference between the bank taking their family's farm, and his mother and younger siblings having a roof over their heads. I also remember hearing that some of the Indians sometimes remained in tee-pees long after a house had been made for them. They didn't want to have to change, either. Thank you for this song, in memory of disappearing ways of life..

I remember Pipp and Guy when they lived in Yonkers... Just around the corner from Steven Tyler ( Tallerico, actually...) They let me hang around during their band rehersals sometimes when Pipp played drums and Guy with his bass guitar. I'm talkin' 'bout 1967.
