Boys, imo life as a Husker fan (win, lose or draw) is much more enjoyable when drinking the Kool-Aid. I'd say don't temper that aspect. At least half of the fun going into a game at Memorial Stadium is the hype, the hope, the unrelenting support and the tradition. The fact alone separates Nebraska from most other CFB programs.

Speaking of Colorado. I traveled globally quite a bit. I was on a flight between two Pacific Rim cities and happened to be seated by another American. This was in the late '90s early 2000s. Started chatting and turned out this guy was a Colorado grad. As soon as he heard that I was a Nebraska grad, he stopped talking to me. I'm a diehard Huskers fan but I am also a lover of college football. I just can't imagine being so shallow. I hope our Nebraska fan base is operating at a high level.

Oh yes. Nebraska. The only D1 team that hasn't made a 6 win goal game since 2016. Even Kansas goes to bowl games. Only like 200 bowl games out there. Nebraska fans are easily the most delusional on planet earth. I do think Nebraska has a 50/50 chance of making the Pop Tart bowl by 2030. A guy once told me people in Nebraska are really stupid, but they know good football. He was half right.

In 2018 Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence were 5 star frosh QB plus 15 other 4 star QBs in the class. Most are long distant memories. No surety that DR will be a star. If Nebraska wins 6 games Ill be the first to give Rhule credit but Nebraska is unlike any other 5 win team. The season is 4 mos long thats what counts most places. In Nebraska their is 8 mos of writers and media people who feed hope. Most 5 win teams arent payong attention in July. This phenomenom makes for strange outcomes

If all monetary offers are equal generally, the programs that are win out for those players. They have a better history of developing for the draft based on their winning.

Everything you just said about Dylan Raiola also applies to Heinrich Harberg. If Heinrich doesn't trot out there and take the first snap of the first game, I will be disappointed. He may get substituted in for the second quarter or second half but he bled for this team. He deserves that.

Rhule would be a fool to not play at least 3 or 4 of the QBs in the first 7 games. Don't let them get stale. There a ton of talent there! I think we'll have some blowouts. Substitute early and often.

They are similar. Long, slender, can run really well. Just can't pass for sh*t. Which is spot on. Simms issue was also he couldn't hold on to the ball. Both are RBs playing qb

@@Hskr4life it hasn't gotten "much better" it is slightly more consistent. Plus that doesn't coincide with what I'm saying. Sure he had time to develop better throwing mechanics. He's still not that good and is a runner first. Which is similar to simms, both lack the ability to throw the football but could run to make it up.

Sure Colorado was lackluster in then Pac12 but Colorado beat NU by 2 touchdowns. Im glad Sip and Sean talked about James Sims. He was hyped by Rhule and Satterfield. I think DR has a chance to be an average or above average Big Ten QB if he sticks around...but give me examples of true freshman QBs in bowls and winning them.

As for your “example” google it dude, there’s been a lot who have won bowl games, conference championships, and national championships…obviously fewer than upperclassmen but but don’t act like it’s unheard of.

NU still had a better record than CU last season. CU gonna get stomped in Lincoln. Sanders & his thug kids are punks. Shadeur is way overrated. Only thing he's proven so far is he holds the ball too long, and loves getting sacked. CU sucks. 3-9 again in 2024.

Nobody is talking about how Colorado buffaloes beat the brakes off the Nebraska team by 15 points last year in the 2023 season... but they are acting like they are going to run over the Colorado buffaloes this year... it's going to be the same thing as last year by 15..or more.
