National Guard vs. Army Reserves - whats the difference? 

Here’s the gist of it if you don’t want to see me ramble on. Plus I forgot an learned some things.
The guard listens to state governor and president.
Reserves only listens to president.
They both can be called to overseas deployments but only guard will be called for state emergencies.
The guard, in some states, offers 100% (STA)state tuition assistance. Reserves offer (FTA) federal tuition assistance of up to 16credit hours a year or $4000. Guard can use Montgomery G.I. Bill with STA but reserves cannot.
Also just learned that reserves only have support MOS and guard has combat and support. Hope that helps anything else let me know.
