Coop didn’t get into the particulars with Akili, but I think saying he was a clear 17 - 20 out of 20 QBs, is probably a 2 - 3 year developmental QB and saying he still has a senior season to show out is pretty damn clear of a statement. Brandon Finney is certainly exciting and what the Ducks have been doing in the DC region seems like they have that talent radar on-lock out there - we lost a few just to our depth chart, but that area is a solid one for the Ducks.

With regard to the "Blue Blood" moniker I think the conversation isn't very helpful and doesn't resonate with young players/recruits. Would you rather commit to a "Football Progrum" or a museum? The better discussion is around a teams tradition and Oregon has plenty of tradition that goes WAY back. Norm Van Brocklin, Dan Fouts, Ahmad Rashad... players and schemes that evolved the game. Oregon's tradition is innovation. Oregon is running a laboratory and other teams are dusting trophies.

Again to me you guys are giving Dan to much credit because he's from the SEC. Hell Chip Kelly had you there, but you fell short. Yet for some reason you can't the the water for the smoke. Chip Kelly had the same kind of money to a point but it's been under cover. Yet I can't seem to understand that you all think Dan's done something Mario wasn't doing. Mario wasn't fired he left for a reason your ceiling has a limit I guess. I mean just like Chip left. Dan I think is on the hot seat, he's been best by some small Market teams that don't have Phil Knight money. Can Dan coach, just because he's from the SEC doesn't prove nothing. Recruiting is coming because of the gap that USC left through the sanctions. Oregon has spent many of dollars to get recruiting all over the country but it's getting old. How long do you think Phil's going to spend money for no national championships??? How long, college football will looking at these ducks this season to win it all. You guys went out the way to get this receiver from LSU. It's going to look bad at the end of this season and don't at least be in the title game.
