Native Instruments Komplete 14: Are you Getting It? 

Upgrading to to Komplete 14 Collectors edition. I love to stay inspired with new sounds. I won’t see my family for a couple weeks when this drops, but they understand 😂

I just upgraded to it. I’ve been a client with NI for so long I got it for a real steal. I love #nativeintruments 💯

Skipped 13, but will be upgrading to 14. So many good sounds in there

Ive got K12 Ultimate, Ozone 9 Adv & most of those Plugin Allances vsts and really I find it hard to use everything I have now. Having a lot of options can slow you down. I really wish Native Instruments had a custom upgrade model so you could get just some of the stuff you needed. I’d personally just would like K7, just a couple of the Play series, just a few expansions & the East Asian collection for Kontakt.

The Problem with Komplete is, that it has everything, but nothing is really the best of its kind. Orchester Stuff > Spitfire, Synths > U-he & Omnisphere, Guitars > AmpleSound, Bass > AmpleSound & Trilluan, Keys > Pianoteq & Keyscape, Acoustic Drums > Toontrack, E-Drums > XO, FX > Farbfilter & UA, iZotope Stuff > Sonible and finally the Expansions are great, but did i need 10.000 Kicks …? Or will i use the same Samples, as all Komplete Users …? Sold my Komplete 13CE after having it since Komplete 7 and almost never use it. Stick with the alternatives i mention above. But if u have small money or are beginner and many good are enough for you, then i can see the benefits of Komplete-Bundle. Its the same with many Bundles, like Arturia for example- did you need 30-40 good vintage synth emulations, or better 2-3 great like Diva & Repro…?

Yep! I haven't upgraded since version 12, so it's a lot of added content to be had for me to get 14. Plus I've got the Collector's Edition so I'll be getting everything to upgrade.

I bought so many of these vst as they came out and this is STILL worth the upgrade

I stacked some Xmas deals for 12 a few years back and got Ultimate for like $500. Skipped 13 but there's no way I can pass on 14. I do everything from Hip-Hop to Metal and Komplete 14 has EVERYTHING I need. My God...the fact that they updated the Factory Library totally blew my mind. The Old School Factory Library still holds up to this day but DAMN the new stuff sounds so good and modern.

Started with 4 and bought my first when 9 drop. 14 is Remarkable

I have 13 and. I’m going to upgrade. I don’t buy any plugins from NI until Komplete Ultimate drops so I can get everything at once.

I’m not motivated to get it yet. It’s definitely worth the money. But there’s nothing there that’s pressing for me right now. But what I Do Need is, a better Maschine sequencer that allows me to structure arrangements easier. Like a traditional linear daw track sequencer. This block thing is getting old. And, better time stretching that allows us to time stretch one-shot sounds and slices easier.

I have the full collectors edition from 13 which is the top one for last year. I also have amplitude max, and total studio, max , plus I have the full OZone 9 advance. I feel no need to update as of now.

I’m on ultimate 12 CE. I usually skip an update and wait for the 50% off summer or holiday sale. So I’ll pickup 14 when the first sale hits.

I just did upgraded from 13 collectors to 14 collectors for $250 on the 50%off summer sale happening now a couple of days left.

I got komplete 12, i think it’s the selection version - it was something like 500-600€ And I used maybe 10 percent of it till today - so I don’t need any new Version. I start producing with a hand full of vst‘s and so i was limited with Sounds. But I was forced to sound different with the same instruments - forced to be kreativ. Now I got soooo much sounds and sometimes I am overwhelmed 😅 What I want to say - if you got talent and be kreativ, you can produce Sick Beats with less sounds and gear. 😉

Right on Bolo! Glad you did this vid. I decided to go ahead and do the upgrade from Komplete 13 Ultimate to Komplete 14 Collectors edition. I did it mainly because of my discounted price (it was the same price as doing the Update from K-13U. But also because it came with more sounds and expansions: The Additional Instruments (16), The Additional Expansions (38) I know darn well, I may never use even half the sounds and tools that it came with, at an even price as the Update, why not?😉 Now can anyone help get this all to work inside MPC 2 😁

Was about to upgrade to ozone 10...and then saw NI's offering...haha! Otherwise, I have 12 and don't necessarily "need" this upgrade. I also like the electric guitars for sketching parts before I send it to session players.

I purchased Komplete 13 Ultimate on release, and have bought a few of the worthy instruments since then so might be skipping this one until the sales prob 2023....Edit: After having another look, upgrading to 14 Standard is definitely worth it!

I ain’t buying nothing else, I got more than I could ever need or use. There are still some Maschine expansions I like that I may go ahead and get, but other than that I’m done buying shit. If I buy anything it’s gonna be some hardware.

I got it for the kontakt upgrade(interface and new instruments) and ozone.

I chose to just spend $100 on the mpc expansion bundle that was initially about $500. Still might get Komplete tho. I plan buying the new unit NI is releasing soon.

Nah. I’m done installing, updating etc etc. find you 3 go to plugins who sounds you like and roll with it. All you doing is putting more and more memory on your computer for about 10,000 sounds (Let’s be honest) you are not going to use. Plugins are like cell phones 📱 You don’t need the new one that comes out every year

Bummed that the Collector's Edition no longer comes with a hard drive for installation but is still the same price as year's past. Sure, perhaps I didn't really need/use it, but it made it easier to keep swallowing that $500 price tag every year. Don't think I''m gonna pull the trigger this time...

Haven’t upgraded since k9 but like you said ozone by itself is half the price of the upgrade so for me it’s a no brainer

I always wait till 50% off update price if I get it. Summer of sound and they usually have sales around the holidays. I’m still at 12 collectors and I have a lot of plug-in alliance. I can wait

Yes i upgrade it from 13 Ultimate to 14 and i have no need at this moment for most of the cinematic sounds are usually would create those myself. And they seem to slow your computer way down CPU that parts not worth it. Like you said the new ozone , play box 40s series ,stacks, the hip hop joints.. yeah good shit.. but was having problems loading ozone? But have been having a blast with it.. for sure a Computer killer if you don’t have high CPU functionality

I got 13 Standard but I rarely use it. I like the pianos and Kontakt 6 but other wise I’m not impressed.

Yep, once the half-off upgrade/update sale hits in November. Kontakt 7, Ozone, the newer Play series instruments, new session guitarist instruments, and a handful of newly included Maschine expansions for $199? Yeah I’d say that’s worthwhile.

Yeah ... long tyme Komplete head. Skipped 12 & 13 ... so, I'm sorta drooling ova this! They making me pay $599.00 for the upgrade as a fyi. Xtra $100 for the skip I guess ... : )

I'll be upgrading to version 14 Standard, but I already have a few of the Plugin Alliance plugins and Ozone 9 Advanced... I would be cool with Ozone 10 Standard since I do not use Ozone that often, anyway.

I bought the Collectors Edition. I bought it because I have some libraries, but not close to what comes in The Collectors Edition. With Ozone 10 Standard..lol...that was a no brainer. I just didn't like you are required to have 10.15. I had to buy another Pro Mac, just to be able to use it. I was going to purchase it anyway at some point, but....I'm a NI guy...so I had to have that Collectors Edition. LOL......But I refuse to put custom wheels on any of my whips....LOL. Bruh......

Native instruments is great but I have a lot of Expansions which they don't substitute different with something you don't have so I would be recycling I can update to Ozone advance for 149 which is more important to me

I had to ask your comment on not just the komplete series of native instruments. But what about pro tools dropin' a free intro software. With 35 plugins and air expand 2 with 2500 presets. Mind boggling to mi!! Your input. Please!!!

Just got 13 Ultimate a year ago, it’s a little to early to be dropping that much coinage again. I wish they’d do a Kontakt upgrade for cheap, instead of make you pay $400 to get Komplete upgrade, as a better Kontakt experience would affect everything in Komplete.

I doubt it. Like most of us, I have too many plugins. I have several DAWs, the izotope musicians bundle prior to the one that just dropped, maschine, mpc2 software, lots of plugin alliance stuff and tons of arturia stuff. If I can't make anything decent now, more plugins will not help. The only thing that might change my mind, is if they make my kontakt 6 obsolete.

So, I bought the mk3 which came with Komplete 12 a few years ago, I am looking to upgrade with the Native Instrument Cyber Season Sale to the Komplete 14 Collector's Edition. Do I qualify for an upgrade with the version of Komplete 12 that I have, or will I be wasting my money? Any information helps, thanks for your time it is greatly appreciated. Love the content!

nah.i got so many good plugins plus even from native themselves so im good.cause i dont even use half the preset in the instruments that i have already all legit plugins.almost every waves plugins. ozone 9 Advanced .ill upgrade ozone later tho. i love ozone

What I hate about komplete is I have the ultimate collectors edition which is suppose to be everything, but it’s really not. As they update we don’t get the additions. Then we have to pay 499 when they do the full update so it’s like what am I paying for really? I am thinking about it an may wait until things are on sale again Black Friday.
